| Think Green should get a bench spot again but if all that squad is fit I’m thinking he won’t.

| That’s a pretty strong Wigan squad. Looks like they are just missing Cooper. Powell and Pearce-Paul.
You don’t often see Wigan lose at home or lose 3 on the spin.
I think we will have to play the best 80 mins since DP arrived to progress.

| This will be a horrible game, we all know what they're going to bring to the game IE grunt and niggle in spades. It's all about how we front up and play the game on our terms. That's something we didn't manage to do in the league game or the one against stains either. We need to get on the front foot and capitalise when we're there!

Isa as well, he's had a bit of a career renaissance this season. Powell dropped apparently.
I think it's a 1 score game either way, I'm at work so won't even be able to watch on tv unfortunately.

| Playing Devil’s advocate here… would a cup final win and falter at the playoffs be considered a success this season? I really want to win the league and I’m not too bothered if we lose on Sunday if it removes the cup distraction from our league campaign. I can’t see us winning both anyway. We’re not good enough, nor do we have the energy to go through both the middle and end of the season in top form. We’ve had our Wembley successes over the last decade so I’m happy to fluff this one if we have to.

For me yes, but only in terms of the progress it would represent from the awful nadir of last season. Let's face it, with the resources we have, we should always be one of the clubs that starts the season expecting to at least be in the mix for a grand final win. And when we inevitably fail to achieve that, and have to once again watch Saints, Wigan or Leeds lift the trophy (OK, maybe not Leeds this year), we have a right to be disappointed.

| Let's get this straight ...
Saints, Wigan, Leeds, Hull, HKR, Cats, Huddersfield, Wire ... spend the full wack. Saying we ought to be top because we are big spenders is not really helping our cause.

If that was aimed at my comment, I didn't say how much money we spend, I said the resources we have, by which I was referring to a much broader range of things than money spent.

Sorry if you took offence. But what other things are you talking about that other clubs don't have.
Really interested in your thinking on this cos I can't think of what you might say.

Not offended at all, Smiffy - just letting you know that I was thinking in broader terms than just money when I said 'resources'. What I meant was, what would possibly make a good player want to sign for Warrington rather than other clubs who, as you say, could also spend big money? I'm talking about stuff like how players and their families are looked after, the home they get to live in, the quality of the club's stadium and training facilities, the success of its scouting system and youth development, it's historical prestige and recent successes, whether the coach and his staff are people you have faith in, etc etc. You'd like to think that if a player was offered the same money by Warrington and another club, some or all of these factors would help persuade them to join Warrington, thus enabling us to build a competitive squad that can challenge for honours. Bit of a rambling explanation, but I hope you get the gist of what I'm trying to say!

| I like the idea but I cannot really see why we are any more attractive than other clubs. I love lots of places around Warrington.
My point is that the idea that we are the big spenders is not helping us.

If you asked me ‘each season, which would you take, a CC or a GF win?’…
I’d absolutely pick a CC every time.

Big call, RD.
Fans of the other big three clubs wouldn't be taking the mickey so much if we had four grand final wins but a few Wembley losses. Winning the league tends to be more reflective of the quality of the team rather than a lucky run, too. I guess you could say our two LLS wins represent us being the best team in those years, but then better teams would have known the goal is to peak in the playoffs irrespective of league position.

| Having ‘it’s always your year’ sang at you, doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
And even if we won the GF, the stalins will still sing it!
