Obviously Russell is in for Thewlis, wonder if Dudson is ready yet.

I would guess he will want to get Philbin and Hudson back up to match fitness and playing in the squad as the first priority, if so that would mean leaving out Thomas, Reddecliffe and Whitehead. He could perhaps rest Casiano or Vaughan though as an alternative.

Then unless there is a HB injury Leon Hayes would be the fourth player to drop out as I don't think Powell would want to disturb the Williams Drinkwater partnership as it really seems to be coming together nicely.

After that, the team picks itself with Russel coming in for Thewlis and Dudson joining Philbin on the bench.

Pleased to see Redecliffe in there. He's a cracking prospect, none self preservation prop with decent hands too.

Have to admit I am not a big fan of him. He doesn't seem to offer much to his wing man when he plays centre and his marking in defence is a bit weak. Useful all rounder to have around in the squad I suppose.

Russell on the wing for me, saw him a couple of time for TO and I thought he had stepped up.

So it’s not 100% now that Russell gets the spot it could still be Minikin and Dudson looks like playing.

Yes, Powell has been good bringing in youth players when an opportunity presents itself, not keen on this option with Mata’utia covering,, not only does it mean Hayes doesn’t play, it also means Minikin starts at centre.

Well if Drinkwater's injury is going to keep him out for a few weeks then we'll just recall Dean - would like to see how he goes in this side.

I think tonight is going to be very tough with a pretty makeshift side, if we lose gallantly then I don't think that will be such a bad thing at this stage of the season.

I think our team is still strong enough. Our best players are still playing & our pack ought to be a handful.

Drinkwater has a late fitness test and could still play tonight, with obvious changes to the planned 17.

hmmm. We have Hull FC Home then Cat A, Pies H, Saints A coming up, if there is any doubt then he shouldn't play IMO.

Playing with an iffy hamstring is horrible. You just can't trust them.
