| At least we have him until the end of the season at least, see if adding Amor and Mikaele can make a difference and we can hit the form we did at Saints

| Good move for him if true, he deserves the chance to test himself at a club that will be competing for Super League titles.

At least Coops will stay at Wire until the end of the season, and we will by then have at least 2 more props for 2023.
It`s a shame that his Warrington career will end this way, but at one stage, I thought he would be leaving mid season.

| Really pleased with the signing from our POV. Some clubs would probably say heās too old but weāve so many young forwards, we could do with a bit more experience and looking at him statistically this season, he looks to have had the sort of numbers with the ball that weāve been crying out for.
Itās a shame it ends at Wire like that, as it sounds like all is bit well between him and Powell. I guess heās on good terms with Briers and that may have helped us.

Your posts are usually great but this is silly, sally.
Pretty much every year he's been here we've been one of the favourites for the Super League title. As we'll be next year too. He's played in three Grand Finals.
If Powell has identified him as a bad egg, maybe he's part of the reason we haven't won it.

| Good luck to him, massive shame he isn't going to finish his career with us but he will finish it with another great club and his career deserves that. He will be a great signing for Wigan IMO and hopefully we give him a great send off a d finish the season strongly.
Powell has to build his own team, either cap space or some other issue means cooper isn't deemed part of that, we need fresh faces and like Hill he needed to be replaced eventually.

| All this was said about Martin Gleeson, he was a bad egg and part of the reason we hadn't won a Grand Final, so we shipped him off to Wigan, where he won a Grand Final and we didn't. I'm not going to be shocked if history repeats itself here.
There's a reason Cooper is going to Wigan and not Salford/Leigh like most of our rejects.

| id rather he stayed, cos i like coops but i'd rather have a team that wins a GF in the bigger picture, if the coach thinks this is necesary, then i'll go with that.
I think i'll try most things at the moment, squad needs turning upside down and over again.
Next season powell will be under more scrutiny, he's in a lucky position contract wise he gets to put 'his' team on the field in his second year

| Coops has another year in him (maybe 2) and is an excellent prop, its a real shame that he isn't finishing his career with us and is one of the few players on the field who's effort, commitment or quality I haven't questioned over the past 4 or 5 years. He's an excellent pick up for Wigan and will help add some experience to what is a young - but promising - set of props.
However, if it aint working between Cooper and Powell, it aint working, as a club we need to move forward and the coach needs backing at this point I feel, given Cooper has only a year or two in him I think it makes sense to make the change if Powell feels it will move the club forward.
Dudson may not be as good as Cooper but I think Dudson, Mikaele, Kasiano plus one from Mulhern, Bullock, Harrison, Philbin is better than what we have now.
Different isn't always better, but better is always different.

| A young Partington and Smithies bullied Hill and Cooper a couple of years ago. Laughed in their faces and ultimately won the match.
We've lacked nastiness for a while. Remember when Briers smacked Ablett at Wembley. Westwood smacked Green in the GF. Pretty sure Paul Wood clocked someone at Wembley too. Bring on the fear factor. Nasty props, fast backs....sort 6&7 out and there's your rebuild.

100%. To win a GF you need to be thugs. The ref will never send a player off in a final (unless you prone punch them), and Wigan know this.

| One of the main reasons behind our 2013 Grand Final win was because Westwood knocked Blake Green out early on and neutralised their best playmaker.
Oh actually, I must have remembered it wrong, because when I check the match report it says Wigan won and Blake Green won the Harry Sunderland medal.
