| Early thoughts on Peanut?
More than a couple on here were quite pro Mamo.
Is there any change of opinion of him in regards PM for Mamo?
I was happy from the minute PM was announced. Simply because I didn’t rate Mano defensively and although he could score in his final season, Charnley wasn’t gifted passes.

Superb game against Castleford, offers more than Mamo I think in attack and defence.

| Not so much in terms of Lyon / Gleeson type skills but the Cas game was the best performance from a centre in terms of hard graft that I can recall. Some sets of six he carried the ball twice so in terms of work ethic he was outstanding.
I dont know if that was because it was his old team or because Powell needed him to do a bit more because we were light on forwards.

| I think he's been great so far especially against cas. If he performs like that consistently then he will prove to be a terrific signing. I still think we should have kept mamo as well but it would have been as cover so I understand him moving.

Didn’t he get MOM vs Leeds?

| No complaints so far, on the evidence of the opening two games. I would be disappointed if at the end of the season I find myself wishing we'd kept Mamo.

| Mata’utia looked a bit rubbish against Leeds, as did almost everybody that day. Clark and Ccoper included.
I liked Jon Wells analysis of Mata’utia the other night. A player who does his job exactly as coached, including all the off the ball work - the perfect lines, defence, taking the ball up, and being hard to put down giving time for the offload.
I’m quite happy if he continues to work on the attention to detail that Powell wants, and I guess that’s part of the reason he’s been chosen ahead of Mamo.

Believe me, an eternity in the company of Beelzebub and all his hellish instruments of death will be a picnic compared to five minutes with Jon Wells, the video gadget he doodles on and his half time match analysis.

I personally think his analysis and intelligent delivery is great. A really intelligent guy who played the game at the highest level and knows his stuff. He’s great.

All fine by me, if we all liked the same things, and had the same opinions, it would make for a dull life. For me, I turn off at half time, and find something else to do, as punditry isn't for me.

Internet post of the year.
N.B. I have merely "liked" your post, and not used the "laughter" emoticon, as I believe it, in all seriousness.
Kudos to Mr Wells, as he does deliver his "thoughts" in an intelligent manner (a rarity in RL). It's just the content of his "chin stroking" banal tosh, that leaves me shaking my head.
For those who also follow football, see Garth Crooks.

| He is definitely a step up from Mamo (who I really liked). He comes into his own when it gets tough and carries the ball up as well as most forwards. Very good signing. I think he will become a favourite at Wire.

| Charnley has 6 tries in 3 games, it's unusual for that to happen outside a bad centre. Must be doing something right. Loads more to come from us as well.

I must admit I like his insight too - especially that section he did on the Powell changes to Warrington's attack and the importance of the lines run to make space for centre and winger.

| I was happy we signed him and think before he even played for us he's a better all round player than Mamo. Didn't really get the dislike for him from the get go, same with Holmes, i'm buzzing we signed him and think he's brilliant but people seem to be underwhelmed we signed him. Personal oppinions though so each to their own.

| So far so good from Mata’utia he looks a lot more solid defensively then Mamo I’d say. As long as he keeps coming in looking for work, eating up the meters and provides a good threat going forward I think we’ve made a good acquisition.
He might not score as many as Mamo or catch the eye as much as Mamo did last year but I think overall we may have a better player.
The right side along with Williams and Charnley has started pretty well. I’m expecting more from Holmes when he’s settled into the side.

you know, watching the toulouse highlights, that right side seems to be clicking, williams and ratchford, the defences so far are respecting and hesitant when williams runs, and as wellsy mentioned on sky last week, everyone else is running the right lines to get the 3 on 2.
The common complaint last year from the usual suspects re ratch was his lack of assists, wouldn't surprise me if he's got as many this year as he did last year already, or at least on his way.
