I really hope Salford do it but I can't see it, but to be fair Wigan deserve a lot of credit for turning their season around so I wouldn't be too upset if they win.

I thought some of you might be rooting for last nights conqueror's Cas Tigers.

May the best team win, the team that deserves it will win it. Good luck to cas, congratulations on your win last night. I'll be jealous of whoever wins it but we don't deserve it this season, we have punched well above our weight winning the cup. Changes needed in coaching for me, we have too many quality players who are made to look ineffective by out crap tactics.

No offence but it's pretty pointless to root for Cas - you're not going to win it. You were poor last night and we were woeful - it was a tramp fight. I don't want a new name on the trophy unless it's ours. It's a close one as Partington and Smithies have made Wigan even more unpalatable but they still just get my vote over Saints.

Probably watch the RUWC instead - their game has improved markedly as a spectacle whereas ours has done the opposite at an alarming rate.

Yes and I'd imagine most Wire fans would prefer Wigan to win. That's how popular you are with us.

Personally I wouldn't but can you blame anyone for thinking that after the fallout from the cup final? I think Holbrook deserves a trophy for what he has done with you guys, but you have no divine right to it for being the best team this season.

I'd love it to be either Salford or Cas, just because the eternal cycle of Wigan/Saints/Leeds winning it is beyond dull, but I can't see it.

Saints v Cas in the final and Cas to win it with a try in the last minute from an American football like forward pass.

Ideally, I'd like all of the remaining teams to be disqualified on the basis that they were complicit in the kidnapping of Steve Price and the putting in place of an impostor.

Are we though? I think the internet/social media impression isn't going to be favourable because as your thread suggests the Saints/Wire banter/hatred is a big thing currently. As I posted in there it's because both sets of fans are scared to death of the other being successful. You certainly wouldn't hate a club that you don't see as a threat. You might have spats like with Catalans, but they are quickly forgotten. But if you actually meet Saints fans, most are exactly the same as Wire fans, good knowledgeable fans who respect the other teams and have a good time at games. If you're taking AS106 or whatever his name was as being Saints fans in general it's wrong. Same with Wire, we know you're not all like the Duck. The McManus spray at the referee wasn't classy I'll admit but bar that, what have you got to hate us for really?

The ungracious bit is ironic given how the Wire players reacted to winning the Cup final. They spent the day singing about Saints. I think both clubs are just remarkably similar. We had our run of success slightly earlier, but in 10-15 years when you've won 5 or 6 Super Leagues you'll be Saints in a blue kit. Once you do that your fans will get that sense of entitlement that will come across as unbearable to other supporters. But we're all the same and I think a lot of you need a walk through history to realise who the real enemy is.

Would love to see Salford go all the way... but its between Wigan and Saints. What a choice.
