Yes sorry. They said sales had gone very well and that it had picked up last few days. No actual figures unfortunately. Guess we will only really know when it gets announced by the club.

Niceone, I will be getting my ticket this week and I’m guessing many other people will be due to the 50% discount. How many do you think we are expected to sell overall? 10,000 maybe?

50% discount deadline ends on 30th April so I'm sure sales will be picking up this week. Shame it's not a weekend away once more, but I'm sure we'll make a great day of it.

Lots that I know are going Neighbourhood Weekender instead though.

Yeh it's a shame the 2 have to clash. I'm sure we will still see a big following usually do for magic

Even though it is close for us, Liverpool is still worth an overnight stay.

Not when the cheapest hotel is £97, and Premier Inn are wanting £199.

Unless you want to be in a room with 6 people then you can get somewhere for £26.

Don't go in your car , you'll come back without any hub caps.

They've got plenty spare in St Helens anyway. Not a lot else though that wasn't gifted to them for years.

I was talking to an ex safety officer yesterday who still has friends associated with different clubs. Some of them had a safety briefing related to the Magic Weekend games and were told that ticket sales were way down on previous years. I think he said that less than 20,000 had been sold in total.

That’s an awful amount

To be honest, I can’t see the Yorkshire clubs bringing as many as usual to Magic. There is no Hull derby, Leeds are playing London etc
Obviously Wire and Saints will take the most I would expect, being local and playing well. Wigan, due to their current form, maybe a little less.

Local Newcastle folk interest was thought to be upwards of 10 to 20% of the gate I heard a radio journalists once say.

I think we'd be lucky to get up to 2% of the scouse community at Liverpool...however I would expect up to 2-3k more team support from St Helens and 1-2k more Wire fans..and perhaps 500-1k more from Wigan that'll off set the local shortfall.

2% of the scouse community at Liverpool should boost the crowd by 44,000.

I heard we have sold 8000, which is pretty decent I reckon.
