It's pretty clear to me where the big mis-matches were and where we need to recruit/develop quality.

Really only a half back (Drinkwater?) as we can add Currie, Atkins, Austin, Clark, Davies, Tasi to that. We might see more of Johnson too.

Where else do you see improvements possible within the realms of salary cap limitations?

Scrum Half - every man and his dog can see that.

Centre - Goodwins' lack of composure rushing out to smash Gildart was the cause of their first try. King offers very little if we are honest. I'm pretty sure we can do better in this position.

Loose - Having that extra ball player in the middle of the field. The way O'Loughlin switched play for their final try was superb vision.

I am also assuming Currie can make it back as we sorely miss his attacking threat and pace.

I'm assuming Clark (Jason) is going to play at 13.

Currie could play centre if Livett gets his mojo back. He's probably the best centre at the club.

Livett would go well at loose forward for me, he has good hands, is quite creative and plays in the forwards most of the time anyway. He needs to kick on next season, he's shown he has enough to offer that he is worth keepingbut we need improvement, same goes for Toby King who I rate highly. I actually think our centres are alright for now and loose forward is cover quite well too.

We need a replacement for brown abwho had a good kicking game and I think we are pretty much there to be honest.

The truth is Wigans half backs didn't set the world on fire either. However, Williams produced several precision kicks and the one for the second try was perfect.

Agreed, if we sign drinkwater I think we would have massive reason for optimism next season.

I don't understand why no-one has been in for Drinkwater yet.

Wigan were pursuing Hastings and need a new HB. Leeds fans have been bemoaning their lack of half backs all season. Huddersfield still rely heavily on Brough and, of course, us.

Perhaps his wage demands are too high, perhaps he has baggage that none of us know of, but given Catalan didn't appear to put up much of a fight then replaced him with Mr Plodder Matty Smith, I sense there's something warning people off.

Maybe he has a done deal somewhere but they aren't in a position to announce it yet? It's a strange one, he has been excellent since he joined catalans and has subsequently found himself without a club. I'm sith you surely he should be able to take his pick of a few suitors at the minute, maybe he is weighing up a few options and wants a holiday?

Drinkwater was awful at Leigh.
At Catalans he is plahying alongside Greg Bird who I'm sure will be coaching him the finer arts of Rugby League as he has with the Catalan squad recently.
Not sure who his guiding light at your place would be.

If only we could bag someone fairly high profile like Blake Austin, sadly for superleague those days are gone.
