| Well done and suitable reward for a consistent performance every week.
Surely should be the criteria for MOS?

| I'm conflicted over this, as I'm happy hes won, but i disagree with the scoring method so it's a bit of a bull award, imo.

| FMC beat me to it.
Yes well done but who cares other than Martyn Sadler and does anyone other than he knows how it's scoring works?

Its reporters opinion, I took umbrage with this a few years back, when we took Bradford to the cleaners down here, probably 2013 when we were still good.
Jarrod sammut still got 3rd or 2nd spot for doing a couple of chip overs that ended in knock ons. But because it was amusing he got included.

That must be why Danny Brough always seems to be prominent.

If Ratchford won MOS would we all agree that it was a fair award and he was the outstanding player in SL this season?

| Thieves is typical of Rugby League fans, someone wins an award and we slag it off. We should be shouting from the rooftops that he’s won this. RL fans seem to specialise in pulling their own game apart.

I asked the questions doesn't anyone care about this and how does it work...
When it was first introduced, I thought it was like our verson Dally M....it just comes across as man of the match leaderboard that can have a 2nd and 3rd too!

Well, it depends how much you know about this, martyn Sadler and the league express started this award as he wasn't happy with the man of steel award, it may be as a result of barrett being robbed or possibly danny brough missing out as the best player usually came from the best team, even if there was a perceived 'better' individual elsewhere in the league.
As an avid buyer of the league express I've seen the scoring and disagreed on many occasions with their choices as I've mentioned they very often give out charity points to losing sides.
It's a flawed system, and i think everyone was expecting Barba to get it, so Ratch winning is a bit of surprise, though i guess it fits in with what I've just described above

| The award recognises consistency of performance over the course of the season and, measured from week 1 to today, Stef has been consistently better than most, if not all, including Barba. Argue as much as you want about the merits bit Rathchford has just had his best season in P&B so they got that much right.
The point here, however, is that [iany[/i accolade won by a Wire player is also a recognition of team performances and of the efforts of the coaching staff.
We should be proud. Go on, try it, you might like it.

| Well done Ratch, his best season for us by a mile....after a shaky start first few games. After that, him (along with Clark) have been immense for us this year. I mentioned something earlier on in the season (not trolling through to find the post) about his 'dreadful' try return for a fullback, Sky mentioned something like (first try since May, when its was February)...well he must of read it, coz his try return has been much much better this season (i think, i haven't checked the stats). Lets hope he can bag one or two on Thursday!!
