| Brown is certain't up there with Adam Doyle and Scott Wilson. I dare say even Asotasi was giving better value than Brown.

| Have to admit, watching last night I was thinking similar. They both lack game awareness and both throw dreadful passes.
Myler got a lot of stick on this board, but he's twice the player we have at the moment, plus you could rely on him backing up the forwards and maybe catching an opportunist break.
We should pin our hopes on a halfback pairing, Patton and XXXX and stick with it and try and make it work for next year. We're out of this year already

| Did Gidley get injured or was he taken off ? I think the most inspiring movement from one of our halves was the kick in to the post that ,i think, Ratch nearly got to. Pretty desperate when you have props taking over kicking initiatives to try & create opportunities.
As for Salford,Gidley at FB & Ratch & Patton in the halves please ,Brown in the centres.

Agree with that apart from Brown, he should be in the stands watching.

Yes. I have a long memory. 1 great game in 7 is currently on par with what we're getting here now.

| We'd kill for 6 of Briers' poor games right now!! Your memory is playing tricks as he was nowhere near that inconsistent back then and even in his poorest games he'd unlock a defence a couple of times - something all 3 of our current 'half-backs' haven't the ability to do.

| Id rather have seen patton in than brown and hardaker at fb with percival at centre. There were options, and ratchford has always been the epitome of average

| Back on thread.
It's hard to disagree. Brown is a disgrace. Pure and simple. When we have TWO props taking the kicking options on the last tackle, does it show that Brown is
a) out of position
b) not ar5ed or
c) his team mates have no faith in him.
He's not much better, ball in hand, either.
Gidley is now resembling the latter days of Muhammed Ali's boxing career. The body's not allowing what the brain is telling it to do. And the body is shot at. He's now little more than a film director, shouting at his actors, telling them what to do.
Brown cost a transfer fee (amazingly) , and I imagine they'll both be on sizeable contracts.
Personally, I'd drag a 60odd year old Ken Kelly out of the Past Players lounge, and have him playing on Monday, rather than Brown.
So yes, pound for pound the worst halves seen in my watching lifetime (79 onwards)

As bad as Currier. For any readers under 30, he was proper 5h1t3, and cost us a reported £130,000, which was a King's ransom at the time. My all time worst Wire player, ever. Made Asotasi seem committed

| Yes Currier is the worst ever signing for me too. Not because he was Shaat. He wasn't. He was a thief by his effort.... Stealing a wage.
