Ok I do have white hair and a bus pass but am I alone in thinking that much of the music played as pre match entertainment is poor? At the Grand Final, for example we had Craig Charles (so what) playing music that was at best bland and did nothing to lift the crowd. This season we've also had to endure similar "noise"at the HJ which I assume is targeted at the teens and people in their early twenties. Fine, but shouldn't we have mix which reflects the demographics of the crowd?

i thought the prematch was one of the better ones i have experienced, craig charles i thought did get the crowd going with uptown funk with mixing in the 7 nation army beat to chant along to, feeder was awesome, really got my heart pounding and singing along to "I think were gonna make it" shame we didnt but hey ho

Craig Charles's language was a bit choice for a stadium with a lot of kids in attendance....... "My names Craig Charles and I play f******g Soul."

Whatever he said it wasn't entertainment - and whilst I'm at it, I'm somewhat puzzled about the concept of a celebrity DJ, it seems to imply there's a skill involved in pressing buttons on a sound system.

That said it would appear from the responses so far that I am indeed out of touch with what's currently accepted as entertainment. I'll get me coat!!!

craig charles seems to have got something of a career resurgence over the last couple of years as a funk n soul dj. Certainly in Manchester.

I thought he was great. And Feeder were too. And the whole event was far better than 2012 and 2013. Apart from the result.

I went to band on the wall earlier in the year to see a band and then Craig Charles. Best night since I saw James Brown at the Bridgewater Hall. The sound system wasn't loud enough at old Trafford for it though. It was drowned out when the team were warming up.
It's not everybody's cup of tea but I enjoyed it. Maybe he could have mixed a couple of carpenters hits with ABBA tracks to please everybody.

Feeder had sound problems to start with. It came across bad on the TV. When they got the sound together it sounded good. Feeder are an excellent band live but do we want them at a rugby final?

Its a band where most of the demographic are familiar with their biggest hit, which is quite easy to sing along with, we don't really need to be going for anything complex contempory or owt, just something ed up 20-40 somethings can shout along with, without having to read it on the screen.
