Thought I'd start a post to share those little nuggets of good info that makes the day go better!

One from my experiences in the past:

Catch a train in from Banbury to Wembley Stadium direct...miss the bad road travel in and around London, its a good compromise from driving all the way or catching a train all the way.

Good tip you obviously tried it and didn't come back?

I'll be walking from Euston to Marylebone and getting the Wembley Stadium train from there. This will be my tenth visit to the new Wembley and this is definitely the best public transport route.

Catch the train from Crewe is only £12. Through "train line. com"

Is something wrong with the Euston sq route takes you to Wembley way.

Train from Knebworth to Kings Cross, short walk to Euston, underground to Wembley Park.

Coach takes you from warrington to Wembley, couldn't be easier

Nope, I've done that a few times and it's fine, as is the Overground train from Euston to Wembley Central. The train from Marylebone is quicker and cheaper though and I enjoy a walk through central London.

agreed...the overground station doesn't have the same Wembley way impact that the underground does.

The £12 Crewe deal...does that train stop at Banbury?

totally agree...relax with my special ales and whisky and work out my bets for the day..let the driver take the strain...at wembley have a wander up and down wembley way...great day out cant wait

The view down from Wembley Park to the Bobby Moore statue is one of those WOW moments don't miss it,last time we stayed at Harrow we put all our Wembley booze under the frozen peas in the local Iceland kept it nice and cool till we left for the game don't like warm beer!

This is the route i am taking. I was going to tube it from Euston to Marylbone, however a walk across the city sounds like a good idea. Me and my dad and his mate will probably have time for a swift half on route too.

We are due into London just after 0900. We usually get the tube over to Baker Street for brekkie and a few scoops, then stop along the line at West Hampstead. If the weather is no good, I'll add a few more pub stops along the way.

There is a pub just round the corner from Euston, called the Bree Louise. Very reasonable prices, good selection of cask ales and they will even do a carry out for you.

Bree Louise on the road to the left hand side of the station as you look at it is a good shout always a decent selection of beers and ciders I tend to give it a whirl whilst waiting for a cheap evening return ticket to kick in

The Bree Louise is indeed very good but if you are going over to Baker St The Globe is also excellent, as on Cup Final day before and after the game it becomes an RL pub with a great atmosphere. Good selection of real ales and great to watch all the Londoners walk past outside bemused at all these people in different club shirts getting on so well.

Excellent pub - good pie and chips and for any CAMRA members and H.M. Forces very reasonable discounts on food and ale

If you go to Baker Street you're half way to Marylebone anyway, so you're as well just getting the Stadium train. Euston and Marylebone are both about 15 minutes walk either side of Baker Street.

good shout...The Globe used to be my 'after work' pub...top place if the weather is good...its on the corner of Baker street and the Marylebone road.

Ten of us walking to the Globe from Euston.few pints then Baker St tube to Wembley Park only 2 stops and takes 12 mins.
