Interesting that BOTH are named in Rochdale's team to play Barrow on Sunday. Assume it means Toby King to centre and Rhys Evans on the wing for tomorrow. If so, shows a lot of confidence in King and not so much in the defensive capabilities of Lineham and Penny.

I'm surprised they are both out of the match day team to be honest. Starting to wonder whether Lineham has a future with us, he has the attributes to one day be the best English winger but there must be some character flaws for him to be out in the cold at this stage of the season.

We have given him more than enough time now.... he is on the way out for me. Its going to be very hard for him to rescue his career at warrington.

It took Roy 50 games to come "good". Maybe Lineham's being groomed for Toronto too having to play in the rarefied air of Rochdale.

yea agree to disagree... despite not being injured he finds himself farmed out again to lower league rugby.

i just haven't seen anything from him this season to show me he is anything but a massive mistake.

penny on the other hand has been brilliant.... if you had to make me choose one of the 2, its an easy decision to make.

Yes, he did. As much as I don't want him to have a continuing niggle, I hope that's it; I couldn't fathom him being dropped for any other reason.

For me, that was the blandest 3/4 line in 15 years, today.Akins took his try well, I don't recall young King doing aanything with the ball, likewise Evans. We need shaking up

Penny has to play. He's a match winner, and a strong kick catcher (compared to Russell at least).

Brough's left foot kick stopped Lineham playing today, he has the turning circle of a canal barge, and we have too often been beaten on kicks in behind. Yes Evans failed to deal with one which resulted in a try, but I'm not sure Smith has faith in Tommy.

For me, it's Ratchford, Russell (just), Evans, Atkins, Penny for next week.

I'd personally go with...

Left wing Atkins
Left centre Toby
Right centre Watkins
Right wing Evans.

That says soldity and balanced to me.

King is still developing, so not sure he should be in the starting 17. That said, his last-minute run across the line of defence essentially set up Clark's winning try. You also seem to have missed Evans's fantastic break/run from our own half which split the Giants' defence also set up position for Westwood's score.
