| We have needed a Gareth Carvell to pair up with our current Adrian Morley for a long time now. That's why Simms is suggested as a BR rather than prop - because he doesn't have the impact going forward. It's why we spent long minutes in our own half of the field against an enthusiastic, but nevertheless lower table Widnes. It's why Huddersfield and Catalans will wear us down in the end of season matches. They will kick the ball into our 20m and watch us making slow progress back to the half way line by the end of our 6.
Bailey never makes much yardage, but is good in defence and provides a bit of bulk. Cox is an impact prop, on for the bat of an eyelid, then gone again. Considering his age, Westwood is still very good, but he can't sustain it throughout the game. So yes, we desperately need another decent prop. Next season we will get Cooper back. I have not seen him play since he left but perhaps he will fill the gap. Until then we will have to rely on Mr Everpresent and the darting runs of Penny, Russel and towards the end of the game, Clark, to get us back up the pitch.

| Were missing somthing but its what's missing compared to the start of the season that's of more concern. We looked fantastic at the start ot the season, I know injuries and knocks havevplayed a part but were missing a spark somewhere
I think our pack is a match for most. People go on.about sims as a second row, i disagree he cannot last the full 80 so would be a burden on the interchanges forcing the forwards into more minutes. Also stood by currie n Hughes king he his huge in comparison, there would only be a few second rowers bigger than him in Pritchard n moors springing to mind, he would also be a downgrade in a link to the centre compared to Hughes and currie.
We're now really only missing dodds n philbin from the props who has played this season? Cooper willvbe a huge addition for next season, againbearly on.people on here were very happy with our forwards, when we're struggling in the middle the answer is not just to get a bigger prop but to look at how to regain the form shown earlier in the season

| Is it me, or am I getting a sense of deja vu regarding Cox.
The two starting line ups bash each other up for a while, then, subs are made, and his first charge up is all hustleandbustle, and then he goes missing for a bit.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the new Danny Lima.

| Ashton Sims is never ever a back row and every centre and back row in Super League would be delighted to see him selected there.

| Paul Wood left more of a hole in our pack than we give him credit for.

I think he's just still trying to catch his breath from that 80m run at Wakefield the other week.

| It's easy to look at pritchard at Hull. Taylor at Dragons and now Fajita at wakey and say we need a barnstorming prop. We have one of the best props in the league but he has been playing busted for the last 3 weeks and has played a ridiculous amount of games and game time for the last couple if years.
One thing I get a bit disappointed about is the times when we don't use the forwards. What I mean is that there are sets when we are getting a quick PTB so say Russell has managed to leave players on the floor, OK it could be Clarke jumps out of dummy half and gains a lot of meters again, what happens then is that Ratchford or another three-quarter will try it again. What I would like to see is westerman. Hughes or westwood or others to take the ball in against a retreating defence (with the three-quarter in support) and see how that works.
A lot of people say we play what we see but that is becoming predictable now. Considering the players we have that can jump out of DH and do damage (Russell, Clarke, Dwyer, Ratchford etc) we don't create as many scoring opportunities as we should. We do get a lot of penalties from those plays though but the momentum is lost.
