Instead of being the Wigan Warriors maybe we should consider calling them the Wigan "Boomerangs". Spend a short time away and then go back to whence they came. But at least he gave it a go!!!

Thought this was going to be about Mike Cooper for a second...
Lots of people do down under for a year, some people I know who have gone have worked in call centres, coffee shops or on farms, he's got to play in the NRL (even if less than he had hoped) and will be better for it.

Like Cooper, any player coming home from the NRL is good news.
Rather than being a conveyor belt of talent leaving the country, it seems that as well as more players moving out, there will be a drip feed of players returning who either didn't make it - in Burgess' case, or those who have made it but have had enough - as in Coopers case.

Can't knock him for giving it a go and Wigan will possibly have a better all round player coming back to them than when he left.

He was certainly one of the leagues best wingers when he left.. Next season i think the Pies will have arguably the 2 best in Manfredi and Burgess.
