bit of an unsung hero for me this season... his defense is unreal.... some great hits at important times in the first half.

he seems to read the game so well.. for someone that shoots out alot and makes key tackles, he gets almost all of them right.

We are a much better team with him in the side

He's really winning me over, last week he was immense and as you say he seems to read the game well.

Defensively he is superb.

Think tonight he offered more in attack also scoring and Brought in lineham avfew times when normally would have taken the tackle.

I'd also add his opposit centre is also playing brilliantly this season Atkins seems more up for it than in previous few years.

Fell off the tackle when lomax scored, he is a very good one on one tackler, ive criticised his reading in defence at times, he has shot out of the line getting it wrong and weve conceded tries because of it, his reads are getting better, a much improved player and you cant question his commitment, throws his whole body into the tackle, often to his own health cost.

I've always had him down as a centre.

Yes you could be greedy and say he didn't make any breaks, but every time he smother tackled his man must have sapped the confidence of their back line. And stopping a try scoring opportunity is as good as scoring I suppose. He has certainly morphed into an impressive defensive player since his early days.

Evans was my mom. Missed 1 tackle at the end but apart from that, one on one was superb.
Not as much of an attacking threat as Atkins but overall well worth my award !

He backed up his performance against Leeds.

Ratch was a bit bemused about hsi award from Sky, and I'd have to agree although he certainly didn't have a poor game.

The Saints line speed was very poor which is exactly what Ratch wants.

Don't think I've ever seen a Saints side as clueless in attack as that. They had so much ball and we several errors coming out of our half and we must be better next week against Hull in that respect.
First 40m was poor for them - only kicks by Wilkin, and drives through that never looked by working.
Second 40 wasn't much better for them.

Clearly we'd done our job in the first half and killed them off with an early 2nd half try.
Fortunately we could bring off key players early on.

Hill worked his socks off but I was concerned about some of his tackling. Most unlike Hilly. I think he was pretty tired, so hopefully willrecover for enxt week.

The Turner injury was key for them, it sapped all our momentum, had that not happened we were on our way to fifty.

That said, I've seen better saints sides play worse and still beat us in the past. Jon wilkin is a joke

Indeed, both missed Magic and both came back for Leeds and Saints and both played really well in both.

I think Saints are suffering by having to rely on just Roby as hooker with no available alternative. A few different options at dummy half could work wonders for Saints.
Amazing piece of attacking defence from Sandow when he tackled Amor in goal.......couldn't do anything with the ball so got a goal line drop out instead.

Rhys Evans looks to be turning into a very good player providing he can stay injury free.

I've been vocal in the past about REvans as I saw him as unfulfilled potential and I simply didn't see what he brought to the team. Got to admit he is changing my mind for me. I wish we could see a little more in attack from him, but defensively he is becoming an absolute monster.
