| 76-0. Bailey got a run out and a try. Far too good for Keighley.

| Our 1st team players of Ryan, Geno, Toby K, Ben Evans and Sam Wilde all showed their class today.
Gene was very strong and both Ben Evans and Ryan played well with Ryan throwing off two tacklers to score his 1st try in the P&B. Toby played in the halves and was very good. Sam Wilde isn't the biggest of lads but he seems to be so strong.
It was good to see so many 1st team players their to support our reserves. Ashton , Hilly, Ben C , Ben W, Daryl, Julien, Gary Wheeler, Ratch, Tom Lineham, Joe Westerman and Chrissy were all their .

We had a bit of banter with Benny W about his new puppy. I have never seen a dog with ears that size before, looked like Yoda.

| It's a pity we didn't field this side against Saints the other week, it would have been a much closer contest. In that game we had no players with SL experience but against Keighley we had 5 and the Cougars were outclassed.
Looking at our players I thought Daniel Murray worked really hard as per usual and Sean Kenny had a good match as well. From the first team squad Sam Wilde caught the eye, he looks very fit and surprisingly fast. And Gene Ormsby, playing centre for a change, was difficult to stop both in the tackle and close to the line (2 tries). Ben Evans looked closest to match fitness after these two. He put in some good hard runs with the ball but still looks some way off his form of 2014/15. Meanwhile Toby King (3 tries) was moved to SO and impressed even though he has been out for 3 months. This was probably the perfect game to make his comeback as he was given a little bit extra time and space to work in. He never seems to be doing much work, but he made an opening for Ormsby's opening try and was calling the tune in the backs for most of the game. At one point he broke the Keighley line but then slowed down to look both sides before putting his wingman (Thompson) in for a try. Now if that had been Ormsby he would have crashed on and eventually gone to ground because he had out-run his support. I think that is one of the main attractions of King, he has great awareness of what is happening around him and has the ball handling skills to make the defence pay for any mistakes. I am sure when he fills out a bit and has a couple of seasons under his belt he will be a regular in the first team. Bailey (1 try) came on after about 25 minutes and was quite busy looking for small Keighley forwards to run at. TBF he did look surprisingly fit and interested.
Outside of the first team squad most of our players looked very good. Richard Harris played FB and knocked over a massive number of conversions, Jacque Peet punched holes in the defence and the sole U19 Reece Brunt was very good indeed when he came on for his short spells. A mention also to Rochdale's Jack Francis, he was excellent in the forwards with big tackles and good running.
With no injuries and a good work out for the whole team, I an pretty sure that Agar and Smith would have been pretty pleased with what they saw.

| To be brutally honest one or two of the Keighley players looked like lads they had just picked up in the pub.

Did we not? I'd beg to differ. That is a bit harsh on the 17 who played

Not considering we could have had Harvey Livett, Morgan Smith,Dec patton, Jack Johnson, Joe Philbin out there
They were a poor side and were lucky to get nil
Not being harsh just saying not our strongest side that has played a reserve match this season

| Irrespective of the quality of the opposition I was impressed with Sam Wilde. I'd be tempted to have him on the bench ahead of Philbin this weekend. He just seems to have a little more about him for me.

I agree he looked strong, quick and direct
The way the injuries are i would have thought both may have a shout of going up to Newcastle
