Tony smith just said on bbc radio Manchester that Mitch will be back mid to end of July. I find this a fantastic piece of news for not only Mitch himself but the wire also.

That is great news. This might sound a bit soft but I was worried about him. To go through the injuries he has and then to be in a French hospital wondering if his playing days were over. I know I would have been in a bad place. I know a couple of the backroom staff stayed behind in France with him and I am sure Warrington have looked after him but even so it must have been worrying for him nd his family.
Great news an just hope the rest of the rehab goes OK.

Delighted to hear this. A chance for him to still make an impact on our season. If he can get some fitness back he could really do a job for us at the business end of the season. Fantastic defender and will add more size and experience to our front row. I really hope he gets fits, does well and signs a longer term deal.

That's great news I really think he showed some good qualities in the short time he was on the field for us.

Didn't see very much of him to judge tbh.
But he'll hopefully come into a team high on confidence and that will help.
We may see the best of him by the end of the year and hopefully next year too.

Update from tony is that he is weight training the leg he broken and he seemed confident in July being a date he will be playing again. Surprised by the date he given but I am bowing to the medical experts advising Mitch and the club

Brilliant. News!! Didn't get to see much of him but when he did play did see people run into him and just stop dead. Think he will be great forwhen hill n sims are spelled!

In the short time he's played, he's looked very good for me, especially in defence. I remember our game v Salford and he quite easily
took down Carney who's normally a tricky player to muscle down.

Based on how we've gone with laithwaite, bevans and prior grix, we do seem to be going very very careful with leg injuries, I know no two breaks are the same but I would think it very unlikely.

That said I'd love to be wrong

I saw Mitch at the reserves game today.
He was stood talking unaided without any bandages etc on his leg.
