| Gidley only has a couple of years left in him and I fear he'll go down the Campese route of being injured 10 months of the year. Would Theo Fages have been a better long term signing? Outstanding tonight.

| Fages was outstanding tonight that's undeniable but gidley was not our problem this evening. Saints were superb to be fair to them and our completion rate didn't allow us to manage the game effectively. Take your fishing rod elsewhere troll.

| Gidley was fine, nothing wrong with him tonight. The team weren't at the races bar a few (Currie, Hill, Penny).
Fages had a blinder but let's be real here, it was one good game I've seen him play consistently well in. Nice trolling attempt though.

| Fages was tackled once by us in the first half. ..We will be the only team to make him look world class this season. ...he's ordinary... in fact they have about the 6th or 7th best half back combo in the league. That's why they are where they are. ...
We out scored them five tries to four and how many of their tries came from our mistakes rather than the genius of Fages. .
I suspect your talking .

| Farge had a hand in almost all Stains try's and his game management frustrated the hell out of us and especially me. Quite clearly hands down mom for me.
I wouldn't swap him for Gidley but tonight he did help to make Gidley the 4th best hb tonight.

He has been comfortably our best halfback in the 4 games hes played this year. Still in the potential phase of his career, but he can be very good indeed if he keeps going like he has.

he had a hand in two lets not get carried away ...Ratchford created two of ours and he was garbage....
Even Ashton Sims created one of ours for Atkins with a lovely set play that any half back would be proud of...(though Gidley did spend about 15 seconds issuing instructions as to how the play was going to go).
Our Second rows were useless which ended up with Gidley taking the ball in himself on far too many occasions he was smashed all over the park, and like I said we Tackled Fages possibly twice in the first half one which he stepped out of IIRC. we should have rattled him early on not the last ten minutes.
We were on a par with our awful performances from last year yet we scored more tries than our opponents and lost this game on goal kicks - as we did our only other loss this year.
Theo Fages isnt in the top five half backs in this league...Man of steel my backside...!!!

| Like the biscuit said both games we have lost are because of lack of goal kicking consistency. Either someone needs to be getting extra goal kicking practice or the game plan needs to involve scoring nearer the posts. Another thing that didn't help was the drop out from Saints being allowed to go into touch when we had already been camped on their line.
The last two tries were brilliant long range efforts, but when we get in an attacking position within 10 yards of a decent opponents try line our ability to score seems to disappear.

| Our short line game especially with kicking was clearly our achellies heal. Only Sandow has been able to address these areas, but that didn't lose us the game tonight.
Errors after errors and the once again the lack of players wanting to run the ball up.
Unless we attack, we won't make solid meters. We don't see busts from the forwards and we don't see off loads around the defence line in the tackle.
We only see us take a tackle soft, turn around and throw it backwards. So we make 6 yards and throw it back 4!
Don't get me wrong I like seeing the ball alive but with some structure. At times its utterly chaotic and it's like we've lost all composure and are trying to score off every pass.

| During the at the screen session with John Wells Gidley was very honest about his and the teams overall performance but more concerned about the points conceded after all we did score five tries that should have won it, so I would think this weeks training will be very intense unless Smith decides to hand out corn plasters instead.

| The worrying comment was made by Smith in his post match interview on Sky.
Gidley has not been able to practice goal kicking during the week because if he did he wouldn't ba able to play at wéekend.
Gidley is a class player but Super League is an endurance test and it may not be wise to build your season around a player who may not be upto it.
Only time will tell.

I'd say your pie-eating shower would be more in need of M. Fages, after getting a gubbing off Wakey, whatwhat
