Is Kevin Penny injured? He's been one of our best players and then.....POOF.......he disappears and is replaced by Ormsby, seems weird to me as he hadn't had a bad game unless I'm missing something?

I can understand giving players a rest but why drop our most energetic,enthusiastic player? He's playing his ass off and hasn't put a foot wrong seems weird?

In fairness, Ormsby has been great since he came back into the side. So no complaints from me.

But Widnes scored a try Down Ormsby's wing .......When that happened to Penny, "experts" would come out and use that as the reason for wanting him dropped......

In all fairness Ormsby has been ok, (but I would like to see that try on Telly I was laughing at the time because Widnes were loaded on the left and went right instead, where they didnt have the numbers so I'd like to see how they worked that one.) , it would be harsh to drop Ormsby to bring Penny back in, but we have a serious lack of pace in the side without Penny.

According to Wire FM Atkins was asking Ormsby why he went out of position, allowing Widnes to score. My initial thought was that it wasn't entirely Ormsby's fault. What did it look like at the game?

I thought Atkins was average, he came alive towards end of game but what was worrying was when Widnes stole the ball and ran length of pitch only England put effort in to chase him down,, and apart from being obstructed twice would have probably caught him,, if penny was around his afterburners are good cover cos he can get back to cover, my view now the side is playing with bit of confidence penny would score a hatful, there is nothing between him and ormsby,

Went flapping for the interception, probably wasn't needed.

He is never going to go the length.......

You know who i, in my opinion anyway would be good for us? Tom Lineham, think he would fit into our side great.

I agree with Tom Lineham too... however with who we have at our disposal i would have Penny. Got a bit of spark about him plus he ALWAYS helps out the forwards when taking the first few carries of a set of 6 near our own line, much more so than Gene.

It's 3/4s with pace to burn we're a bit thin on the ground with.

To be fair to Ormsby, he's come in and done well and scored tries, exactly what he would have been expected to do. When he shot out the line before half time was disappointing though.

Penny does have that natural pace that we lack in the backs at present.

It's a tough one but Kev needs to be patient, he will get another chance soon.

I point out though how poor for pace we are in the quarters.
We could have done we with a Matt Gidley as opposed to Kirk.

Atkins has improved and Toby is great but they both lack heavy pace.
