| Its already started, couldn't believe the number of times last night it was commented on as to what Sinfield would have done.
Are Leeds going to suffer in the same way we did when we lost Briers, Hodgson Morley etc
Be interesting to see how they cope over the next couple of years. Are they going to buy in or persevere with their youth.
Our youth policy is to me now really starting to pay dividends, thankfully at the moment we are not having the pressure ramped up on ourselves by the clown (Stevo) as we seem to slipping under the radar when you look at the average age of our team.

| No, their replacement is already better than Sinfield was. Leeds would be worse off with him in the team. He was a decent loose who wanted to do too much, taking far too much responsibility from the likes of McGuire and Burrow. At times his kicking game was a genuine benefit for them, but he won't be a big miss. Obviously they've also got McGuire, Burrow and Peacock coming around to ending their careers as well. They will do well to maintain the quality across that group. But Leeds' youth system is vastly superior than any other club in SL at present, in terms of the players it's producing for their first team. The likes of Hardaker, Watkins, Sutcliffe are all probably the best prospects in their positions in SL and it seems to be like that whenever they bring a player through, certainly a far higher hit rate than most clubs.

| Sinfield was a passenger against us, you just can't afford to carry a half on the bench. Burrow or him had to get cut, right call for me, Burrow is more effective

| You know we talk about Maguire and Burrow coming to the end of their careers yet neither of them look older than 22..!

| From the off I see there is a thread 'Post Kevin Sinfield.'
All players have their day and it could be he has reached his.
Let's not forget this player has put in 500 appearances and it is apparently 15 years since he was not named on the Leeds starting line up according to Sky. So from that I imagine he was a somewhat useful player despite some of the criticism from the knockers on this board because he never played for the Wire.
Any player from any club deserves respect for stats like that. Wire or not it does not matter.
Lets not forget that it was his last minute penalty goal that stopped us from a first Grand Final appearance some years ago and he was, apparently, becoming a Wire some years ago rather than signing a contract extension at Leeds.

| I think Leeds realise how important he is and are aware of their position in the league.
It seems to me that they are trying post Sir Kevin options so long as they sit pretty at the top.
Once they are stumbling too much, he will be drafted back in to address the balance.
Good tactic even if there is a little short term risk.
Perhaps we should take note for the the future in case we end up with another Briers senario. Something Leeds have learnt from us.
