All but Hill, Harrison and the prospect of Riley, arnt what we expect of a SL prop imo.

Thought Simms played well although size wise he's more 2nd row.

Gaz he played ok.

He is our marquee prop!

Props are not the main issue (although Morley, Carvell, Wood and to some extent Cooper haven't been replaced)

Non gelling halfbacks
Centres that are as much use as Telly Savalas' comb
and a club captain that's a shadow of his former glories

thought Sims was superb, dont think he missed a tackle, made some great tackles where he had no right to still be holding on to the attacker. And would take two hits ups in a set of six.
It Was Hill that came up the shocking miss-tackle in midfield which led to Cas' first try.

But the problem for me is the Second rowers Id' go so far to put it in type that Ben Currie is a coward.......

He puts himself in positions to make it impossible for the halfbacks to pass to him, and if he's in position he looks like he doesnt want it So Obrien takes one for him, then he puts pressure on the kicker without putting any real pressure on the kicker and then puts himself out of the attacking line for two or three tackles ......

he's the worst second rower Ive ever seen........ Laithwaite on the other hand works hard and will trundle it up all day but he has no pace and no idea of running lines hitting gaps and giving his halfbacks a fighting chance....

The 4 props were generally ok for me and gave us the only drive forward bar Harrison. Sims at least seems to be one of the only players to make a real effort and the opposite of Asotasi last season.

Plus why does Simms think he is king of the charge down all of a sudden, it that the only way we are going to break the opponents line!???

twelve minutes into the second half before he was replaced by Sims............. I'm sorry but twelve minutes is a disgrace..... he's fit as a fiddle, carrying no excess weight, but gets twelve minutes.......George Rose and his beer belly put more minutes in than Asotasi......

I think you've got your criticisms mixed up, it was Twelve minutes before Asotasi was replaced by sims.

Asotasi came on ten minutes before half time and went off twelve minutes the other side of half time..those arent great minutes

Sims did more minutes than any of our props including Chris Hill.........

Sims was out best forward today i thought.... strange thread under the circumstances.

Sims ran himself into the ground I had no problem with his efforts on offence or defence, gave his all.

I don't see the props as the major problem and I think "rubber duckie" just likes being on this forum. They made ground every time. Our plays when we are 20M out is the real problem. So why we've started this thread I just don't understand. My thoughts are that old "rubber duckie" hasn't a clue about the game ... but he loves playing on his new dingdangdongle, unfortunately.

Totally agree and anyone who doesn't must have been on their phone all the match but my oh my that lazy waster Asotasi must go down as 1 of our worst ever signings.I'd love to know who the hell gave the club the green light to sign him and on what basis
