Keep smith, get Cullen back in for agar and let him make the signings with his'loading from the top' policy and smith coach them.

how Agar is still in paid employment as an RL coach is anyones guess, its no coincidence that the last two clubs he coached are bottom of SL, with his ex-captain and ex-assistant in charge respectively, both playing the same drab, barge up the middle rugby.

as for Tony Smith if you lot don't want him send him our way, or his brother!

I think it has been proved that a coach has a shelf life at a club.

Maybe time has come for new ideas and a fresh approach.

Love it or hate it. I want to see a coach who likes the rough, tough and uncompromising approach.

I've said it for a while now but Wire have become a soft touch under Mr Smith.

Agar and the new chief exec smack of jobs for the boys. Both being good friends with Mr Smith.

The phrase jobs for the boys springs to mind.

Do people really think that top professionals like Tony Smith would choose an assistant coach because he's his mate (if he even is).

And to suggest choosing the new Chief Executive was jobs for the boys is plain barking.

Some people do come out with some cynical rubbish.

It seems sooner or later the ''fans'' get on the back of certain players or the coach / coaching staff.

I went to the Hudds match and we were poor.

Losing Monas last year was a bigger blow than losing Briers for me, but we are where we are.

All those who say 'Moran is losing interest etc etc' - sorry but we as a club shouldn't rely on hand outs from a signle person or small group of individuals.
What Moran has tried to do is to bring a real professionalism to the club and make it pay it's way.
I want to win games and trophies BUT we need to have a viable profitable club.

I watched the game from the East stand yesterday and at the start was focussed on the action around the ball play (making most of the tackles on Widnes players myself, not to mention some very good 40:20 kicks at the end of each Wire set). But towards the end of the first half when I realised we would almost certainly lose the game, I sort of drew back from my 'involvement' and started to watch players that were not on the ball. I was initially trying to work out why all the Widnes attacks down our flanks were successful - I suppose its the sort of match watching you would do with a video of the game, when you know the result and when the scores occur, but you are more interested to understand how it happened. Anyway, looking at the players, they seemed 'lethargic' and my initial thought was that they might be saving themselves because of the demanding Easter period. But the body language, the packing of defensive players (rather than trusting your buddy) and the hesitant attacking movement all suggested to me that what I was looking at was lack of confidence and low morale. If players were determined to arrest the two defeats in a row I am pretty certain we would have seen far more effort and focus than we did out there last night - there was simply no self belief.

So depressingly, to add to the list of problems already raised (lack of half back, imports not performing, unfit players in Bridge and Harrison, players not in optimum roles etc etc) I think we need to add the spectre of low morale. I say spectre because of all a teams potential problems, I think this is the worst. And surprisingly the very last coach I would expect it to occur under would be TS. So I think we are at a turning point in the season. The Wakey match is eminently winnable, the Cas match a lot tougher, but unless we can turn this around before we go into the sequence of hard games, the team could unravel very quickly.

I think we have been in slow decline for a few years now... Quality players have left, new signings have been poor.. we are very much reliant on a very small group of players now... Hill, Westwood, Ratchford... outside of those 3, we really don't have any players to write home about.

Is Smiths time up? Probably not.... But he is certainly under pressure now.

However, if the rumours are true that he has taken a bit of a backseat and Agar is running training and other aspects of the head coach role, then for me, they both have to go... Bring someone new in.. freshen the place up.

Warrington is an attractive club to coach now.... amazing facilities, brilliant youth setup, full cap.. Probably money to spend if required... We as fans shouldn't be settling for mediocrity anymore... It doesn't matter how much fun we had winning a few challenge cups a few years ago... its about now and next year.. and the year after that.

Are you suggesting Agar was appointed because of his coaching "success" at his previous two Super League clubs?

This is exactly what I was getting at the other day. Do we want to be a club challenging for silverware, or a small minded club that beats a weak Leeds and bangs on about it for weeks?

I just wish he would stop the BS he spouts in his post match interviews. If we have played poor admit it, he would garner a lot more respect that way, and would put an end to the accusations that he can't see the obvious.

Smith is increasingly hubristic. This isn't going to end well.

The fact that we were rubbish last night is blindingly obvious to us, so as a professional coach I suspect TS might have noticed it as well. The issue is therefore why he didn't mention it. And the answer seems relatively simple, he doesn't wan't to lower morale any further by slagging them off - it's self defeating. A high riding team that loses a match because they simply didn't put in the effort can be given a good verbal bollocking in the dressing room, and on TV. But the last thing that a team that has lost three consecutive matches, and are clearly lacking self belief needs, is a good kicking.

Smith has transformed us over the last 6 years, and this is his first real time of struggle. I'm not willing to be shouting for his head just yet, he deserves time and support to turn this current shambles around.

Who the hell mentioned 'a good kicking'. Obviously tearing strips off them in the media is counterproductive, any fool can see that, my point is trotting out the same line when we get beat (especially when it is pretty obvious where the failings were) smacks of either arrogance or naivety. And I don't think he is naive.

Line speed was slow, reading of the play was off, the kicking game wasn't good enough, we didn't play smart enough, our players can't catch a bal for toffee.

Not, it was pretty even, we could have nicked it with a bit more luck.

Tell what is happening, the players are getting a hammering on twitter by fans, they don't need the abuse but they're getting it.
Maybe that stems from the frustration of the perception that the coach isn't seeing the glaringly obvious?

I apologise, my wording probably reflects my annoyance and frustration. I should have said that I think it is difficult for Smith to admit the failures / mistakes that were made on the pitch without further damaging the players morale. If anything, the complete lack of criticism should be sending warning bells that Smith is worried.
