| This is going to be interesting.
Warrington have the superior front row.
Back rows are roughly equal.
St George have much superior backs except for centres, where Warrington are stronger.
I think that this game will be close, but Warrington will win, unless Benji pulls off something spectacular.

| Well that was a great game to get the weekend off with a bang. Only for a bit of lost ball you could have won that game. Great effort and well done.

| Referee made a number of mistakes tonight which would have turned the game....
Head high dangerous tackles should lead to 10 minute sin bins and penalty at the very least! Then interference at the play the ball on ATkin incorrectly giving knock on 20 metres from their try line, should have been a penalty.Shiite ref....I agreed with the Wolves chanting during the game about him!

| It's a shame the RFL will not take any action following that performance by the referee Ben Thaler. What should have been a great occasion ruined by the ineptitude of the man with the whistle, would not have happened if the games were played in the southern hemisphere.

| Slightly angry Goldblatt just got back, My take on tonight.
Mr Moran and his marketing team got their prices wrong for the seats. To have so many unoccupied shows this.
We miss Ratchford. His broken play runs were missed, tonight.
We're nowhere near our best, as were St George.
Some St Helens and Leeds fans are absolute TOOLS (to be fair, some Leeds fans were OK)
"Roy Asotasi. That's how you run the ball in. Yours Faithfully, Kevin Penny (and I weigh less than an astronaut's fart)"
(bar twice in 80 minutes) our kicking game is 5H1TE
and last, but not least, Ben Thaler is a weapon of the highest order
Cast your minds back to the 1st Test @ Wembley 1994......Shaun Edwards on Bradley Clyde....reflex action.....Ref (rightly) sends Edwards off.
tonight.....St George player LEAPS in the air, AND THEN, commits the same head high tackle....talking to...................HE BOTTLED IT
I've said it for years. THESE REFS ARE 5H1TE.
Say what you like about Ganson (and we have done in the past). At least in the past, he had the courage of his convictions, and acted accordingly.
So. In the space of a fortnight, we've has a game (Widnes v Wigan) where the ref penalised anything that moved, then tonight, we went 30 minutes without a pen, then the ref bottles the decision.
I dread to think who's in charge of these pr1cks. Is it Frank Spencer?

| Thaler was fanastic. Take away the idiot commentator on Sky and the reactions to the high shots, it was a great game to watch, superbly refereed. I've been very critical of them, but he let it flow tonight and it produced a great game.
As for the high shots themselves, at worst it was a yellow because it was reckless. But it was also instinctive and absolutely wasn't high on first impact. It was shoulder and down across the chest, which slipped up. As I said yellow for being reckless, nothing more.
The second one, which the daft fool on Sky was wetting himself about, was again nothing more than a penalty. Initial impact was just above the elbow and slid up under the chin. Penalty, nothing more.
I thought Warrington defended pretty well tonight, but were just worn down by a typical NRL performance from the Dragons. Their performance shows why the NRL is superior, they respect the ball, they respect the value of completing their sets. They did that and Warrington did their usual thing and threw it about and made silly mistakes. When Warrington finally learn to compose themselves and play percentages, you will clean up. Until then you'll keep playing the valiant loser, despite being capable of so much more.

| Good game to begin the weekend, hardly anything between the two teams. With Ratchford I think you would have sneaked it!
Hill played well as usual, awesome prop!
Actually thought Thaler had a decent game from a neutral point of view barring the first of the high shots which I think should have been a yellow. I think it looked worse than it actually was, it was a flailing arm rather than a swing and it hits the shoulder on initial contact. Nothing much in the second shot, penalty that is all.
Agree that Penny showed plenty of bottle but him being so light weight didn't help you at all. He was man handled almost every carry and lost the ruck meaning a slow play the ball whereas Dugan won 70%+ of the rucks.

| The constant flopping caused the slow ruck. Never seen so many flops. Great game though and no arguments with the result - we didn't respect the ball enough...crazy offload by atkins

| First high should have been a red, especially as St G man was well beaten and had to dive to get any contact, whether shoulder or head first. Second one just a penalty as it did hit shoulder first and Marshall wasn't trying to connect dangerously as, in my view, first one was.
Thought Penny was very good all round (attack and defence) and not sure Warrington lost because of throwing the ball around. They lost more ball in the tackle and should have changed from high kicks which it seemed St G had under control.

| Thalers performance tonight, when it came to the KEY decisions was spineless and embarrassing. Like Tony said at the end of the Sky interview, he feels for Ah Van after the punishment he was given. No consistency.
