| People whinge and moan about Hock and even i was of the opinion "Why bother, too disruptive"
Now i'm thinking, do you know what, why not, Hock the rugby player is a force of nature, very very few will dominate him, let's have some of that in the team.
If he gets banned it's no worse than having Woody on the sidelines for months.
People need to stop being precious, i'm including myself in that too.
On reflection, i'd have him in the team, let's be honest name the forwards in our team who are genuinely better than him, Hill, Westwood.....then who?

| Hock strikes me as a frustrated guy who has yet to make the most of his obvious talent.
On his day he can be devastating.
Yes he plays on the edge and yes he sometimes goes over that edge but IMO that's what wire need.
If Smith can turn a lost soul like briers into a champ what say he can do the same with some like Hock.
Would I like to see him in the wire pack. Yes please.

| Hock knew what holiday taking the ref out would bring him.
Hock has only really been happy at Widnes.
My thoughts are he'll end up back there.

| Hock seems to me like a fading force. He's 31 now and I think his best days are behind him.
I know people like to think of him as the beast that if tamed can be a huge player but it's been a while since he's been a real influence on games or on a team. Wigan were noticeably better without him.
A few years ago I would have had him and said take the chance on his erratic personality because he's that good and he can carve up a team and create tons of chances for players around him but as well as his disciplinary shenanigans he makes a lot of errors and concedes a lot of penalties too so he needs to be right on top of his game to be worthwhile.
I just don't see it any more.

All he has left is his 'erratic personality'. Not included in the England squad ( right decision ), hardly made any waves in his season at Salford. Why people want him at Wire is beyond my comprehension.

| He's a right scrotum, he'll never be forgiven for trying to pull Harrisons' eyes from his skull a couple years back, what a sad sack. Keep him away from a Wire shirt.

| If we wake up tomorrow and for ability reasons we have signed Hock with conditions (like Carney has) on his contract, what do we do?
When his head is on right he is an outstandingly aggressive runner and he is a good defender!
Having said that he is a complete nut job
If we are going to take a chance on someone why don't we have a go with the 23 year old that played for Oldham aganist Hunslet in the GF yesterday. He was a bit of a handful.
Question is do we need another forward?

| 2 yards from the tryline, there's no better player to have a ball in his hands than Hock. So often his upper body strength and aggressive attitude have given him a try.
....Alas there is a darkside to him and I honesty don't think that can be controlled...he just sees red mist in a fraction of a second and reacts before he thinks, but his ability I don't question.

| "but his ability I don't question"
Duck, no doubt he was once a force to be reckoned with, a frightening sight for defences but has he still got it, I am not sure he has, a fading light me thinks

| If Tony Smith has this time machine that can turn players back to the form they showed 3 or 4 years ago then put Asotasi in it, or Paul Wood, never mind Hock.
