Excited to see a player of his quality in SL, will improve the Dragons immensely!

Despite being an apparent head-the-ball, this lad is an exceptional player. I welcome him to Super League and hope he does well here.

He'll certainly improve Catalan, don't know who they're replacing Paea with in the forward line but if he's of good standard they might be a team to compete with the others for the final top 4 next season. Escare will improve further, they already have good players in other positions. They've always lacked the high class halves though (although Dureau wasn't bad) but this signing will really push them on.

A good Catalan team is good propaganda for this sport.

I think Catalan was probably his only option in the SL due to previous criminal convictions.

He should be a great signing for them, thinking about other disgraced players that came over recently they have all done very well. Our own Joel monogham has been an exceptional player for us, Greg bird was pretty good at Catalans. I can't remember the exact scenario under which Jamie Soward arrived but I thought he was really good as well.

There is always a question mark but he is definitely worth the risk for Catalans he could really turn them in to top 4 contenders next year.

Can't wait to see him play for Les Cats. Great signing for 'em.
I heard something about Scott Dureau playing for em again next year. That's a fearsome halfback combo if true.

I agree he is a great player, but I have one question, If he was not granted a visa to work /play for UK based SL clubs. Because of criminal convictions., but was granted a visa by France. surely that means he can only play Home games. Does not the same visa criteria come into play when Catalan travel to UK for their away games?. Just Asking.

Think about it, if you were declined a Visa to live and work (Full time) in America, do you think that would stop you from been able to partake in regular business visits to America?

IIRC Greg Bird joined Catalans for similar reasons and as far as I know he played away games as well as home.

Couldn't be further from the truth. You only have to watch the footy show to see they're about as pc as Jim Davidson and chubby Brown on a lads night out.

They are just fed up with giving highly paid players second and third chances. The governing body has worked hard to raise the profile of their game against stiff opposition from Aussie rules. They get increased TV deals and increased sponsorship and Todd Carney goes out and wees in his own mouth and gets a bloke to photo it. .....

If he's any sense hell realise this is his last chance.

They have announced a new 4 year deal for escare too. Another very good deal this week for the Catalans.

Catalans will not actually have signed anything as yet. The RFL have the right to accept or decline any SL player registration. If they decide against - for obvious reasons, you will not be seeing him play for Catalans. Home or away.
