| I've never made any attempt to hide my total admiration for Ben Harrison, but even I have been beaming inwardly at the level of performance he has shown in the last two games.
For me, he's the complete modern forward. An imposing size, tremedous go-forward, insatiable workrate, deft footwork, brave, utterly selfless and totally committed in everything he does. These traits alone would make him a player any SL club would covet, but the lad also has the ball-handling and off-loading ability of a stand-off.
I had the priviledge of watching Mark Roberts in his pomp and Ben is the closest I've seen since, in terms of multi-faceted forward skills allayed with granite-like courage at the coal-face.
I suspect Ben will mature into a splendid ball-handling prop, but as long as he does it in the P&B the likes of Ben Evans have a fine benchmark to aspire to.

| Harrison is one of the smartest moves we've ever made...pure Cumbrian granite and him and Ben Evans are going to thrill us for a few years to come. Harrison was mom by a mile tonight within a great team performance.

| I remember a few years back and he was being compared to big Sam Burgess. He's really clever with what he does. He's tiresome in everything but every now and again he'll charge up some extra effort to make a game changing tackle on a key opposing forward. Tonight he crunched Walmsley early on and Walmsley went off. He went in hard on Masoe a few times and with the help of M Monas, dislodged the ball at key points in the match. We miss him big time when he's not present.

| There were people on here earlier this seaon that were saying that Ben Harrison was finished. All he needed was a run of games to get back into things. He's in great form now. Four nations spot on the cards?

Probably not as he doesn't play in the NRL. He's in his best form for a long time though. Should have got Sky's MOM but as Stevo picks it, he didn't.

He was my MoM in the Hudds match for sure.

| It is great to see so many fans applauding the contribution made by Ben Harrison. I have said before that he would be the first name on my team sheet as he is the hardest worker in the team.
I would hesitate though to compare him with Mark Roberts. Ben is the epitome of a hard working prop with a bone crushing but fair tackling technique. Mark was as good a fast running back rower as you are likely to get.

| Ben was absolute quality last night...great performance. If he can stay away from injuries and maintain that level of consistency for a season he's MOS material. Prop his best position now?

| Hill, Harrison, Simms, B Evans, England, Wood..some quality props there plus Walker and G King from the 19s
I am really looking forward to seing Ben Evans back in the side; he was absolutely superb up to his injury and i would have him in the 17 every week.

I agree Walt, Ben was superb prior to his injury. He did tweet a few weeks ago that he was expecting to be back for the Hudds game. Has he had a set back does anyone know?

| Just commented on the Michael Monaghan thread how great it is to see a player who you can't help wonder if their body has taken too much come back to their best, and the same applies to Ben, he has had a very disjointed few years and credit to him and the club for keeping with it. God knows what will happen in the play-offs but I'm really looking forward to see Ben giving it all over the next few weeks.

| I think Harrison looks very comfortable at prop. I think he would have played prop for most of the year if grix hadn't been so unfortunate with injuries.

| Hill has been the outstanding prop this year and last and should be MOS in 2014 IMO.
Im a big fan of Harrison though and feel that his best position is prop.
Ben Evans looks a prospect and will surely go on to be just as good if not better than Harrison in time.
I still think we need a bit of mongrel in the team though as Asotasi, Wood and England dont offer that and it looks like Westwoods best days are gone.
I thought that Trent Waterhouse came on and made a significant impact last night. Really seemed to mean business, which we haven't seen much of this year from him. He has either had a rocket from Tony or he was inspired by the injury to Grix - this did seem to spur the team on as a whole imo.

I'm not his biggest fan but he does seem to play well at Langtree Park and did so again last night

| I'll intertwine several current threads here with a single observation. Suppose iff Dr NoClass down at Salford took me out for a pot of tea and a toasted tea cake (on him, obviously) and asked him what he's doing wrong and what needs to do to fix Salford,
I'd show him a video of Ben Harrison and say "Sign three of those"
I'd show him a video of M/Monas and say "Sell everyone you've got to get one of those"
And finally, I'd ask him to reflect that he has built a team around the like of Hock, whereas we have around the likes of Ben Evans & Laithwaite, as well as the aforementioned two.
Good luck Marwan.

| The key for Harrison now is to stay injury free, if he does that he'll be one the of the best forwards in the game as he was in his Rambo days.

| Some great performances recently from Ben. I hope he keeps it up.
Play him at prop now. He's NOT a loose forward.
I'd just get an extra stone and a bit on Ratchford, and play him, there.

| Harrison has never been a loose forward. He has always played as a third prop. The number on his back does not mean anything.

| Ben H is getting to an age in which his body will be at it's strongest, look at the strength he showed in the Hudds game, that was Burgess like.

| When he burst onto the scene a few years back he was a red hot prospect but suffered a series injuries and struggled to get back to those heights. With an relatively injury free period and getting a good run playing in a half decent side we are now seeing him mature to into a player of the highest quality with hopefully his best years still ahead of him. Keep in up Ben !!
