For a season, granted he's 33 but Nathan Friend at hooker. Ideal stop gap.

I would love to see Louis Anderson come back to the wire if Trent is definitely going to be leaving.

Too much of a downgrade for me. Waterhouse has been exceptional. I'd rather give a young lad a run in the side if we can't recruit anyone as good as or better than Waterhouse.

I'd have Anderson over Waterhouse. Louis has an aggressive presence that Treat doesn't.

Louis was a liability in defence, shooting out looking for the big hit, if he missed it usually lead to a try.

Our left side defence has been very poor without Anderson. Without being able to remember every game he played here, I don't remember it being that bad with him down that side, and Myler was a poorer defender then as well. He shot out of the line occasionally, especially pre Smith, and I do recall King and Penny struggling down that side due to Anderson's wild defence, but I thought he matured quite a bit under Smith.

I wasn't a huge Anderson fan, but with options becoming more and more limited regarding quality available, he wouldn't be the worst signing. Especially when you consider our inexperience in the forwards. There'd be less of a settling in period which always helps.

I like both, but don't consider Anderson to be any less of a player than Waterhouse is. Both have their faults but have been mostly exceptional for us. I never understood why Anderson left but I guess it was down to £££ and the lure of the south of France. He was always outstanding in big games for us, and I loved his aggression.

Waterhouse is twice the player Anderson is. He is quite often our best player. Tackles and runs for 80 minutes. A real leader.

He's no Danny Kirmond, though.

Personally reckon Ben Hannant would be a belter of a signing from that list. He'll be 31 next year so would be abit of a stop-gap but is an experienced, no nonsense, hardworking prop forward with abit of mongrel in him.

Loads off there - too many to mention that would do a job here. Just a few names though...

Ben Hampton - half
Kevin Proctor - 2nd ROw
Rory Kostjasyn - Hooker/back row
Brent Tate - Centre
Robert Lui - Half
Braith Anasta - half/loose

Some youngster and some experience there. Both would improve our side. Probably a lot of other NRL fringe players we could get released too.
