Being realistic, Marshall's playing style was never suited to RU. Not enough broken field, allied with the ball being in play enough.

There may have been a chance at fullback for him, but his running to find space would, leaving him isolated, would give his coach palpitations.

He didn't last very long, just a matter of months.

Quade Cooper is a similar type of player to Marshall and has been successful in RU (although would probably be better suited to RL).

I think the issue was less his playing style and more the fact he is past his best. Had he gone over a few years ago he would have been more successful in RU. But I think we will see when he is back in league too, that he is not the player he was.

He wasn't the billing I expected from him when he played at the hj in the international a couple of seasons back either.

He has no interest in Super League and I've no interest in him playing for us. Another who's head has been turned by money, losing track of the football in the process.

Or perhaps a player that made a good financial decision, like Farrell did, to get a large contract from RU as he was approaching the end of his career and probably not the player he was.

If you hold any asset the time to sell is when you know it is about to decline in value and others haven't worked that out yet. If your asset is your rugby ability its no different.
