What would your team & tactics be for Thursdays game?

I'm expecting Saints to come at us big time & try to do to us what we do to other teams & blow them off the park in the 1st 20 minutes.

Or TS could use Trent as a replacement prop put Simon G in the 2nd row start Ben C at 13 & have Laithwaite interchange with 11, 12 & 13. In which case I would put Big Riley as 18th man.

Going off our early form in the past two seasons and this incessant rain the tactic should be simple- keep hold of the football!

No silly penalties, gotta make teams earn there points against us.

If the weather stays crap, then its simple just keep hold of the ball. Cant wait for it now tho, just hope we put in a gd performance and no injuries.

Play the same as we did in the playoffs. Get field position and if we can't get a repeat set turn the ball over the dead ball line and let them start from the 20 m line. Keep turning them around.

I think Mark_M is right. Width and working off the ball is key. Our weakness at the moment is in the front row, but the edge forwards and edge backs are as good as anyone else in the comp.

Beyond that, we need to kick the ball smart. Not just a hoof it in the air, but to really challenge their back three. Great battle coming up, can't wait for it. Bruising St Helens pack and a pacey back line, against a really smart and agile team. Bring it on

You do know that you've inadvertantly made it legitimate to refer to Warrington as 'Wazza' and Perpignan as 'Perpy', two crimes even worse than players first names.

The excessive use of a Y at the end of a surname back then to form a nickname shown on the old official Wire site was ridiculous. Briersey, Burnsey, Smythey, Woody and so on.
