England was impressive, Asotasi was solid if not spectacular, Penny was good again and deserved his tries. Ratch and Higham were only on for about five minutes.

Plus 10-15 minutes.

England put himself about and the run out will have done him the world of good. Asotasi as stated. He looks quite mobile for his size. Dwyer was industrus and Mickey Higham also worked well. Gareth O'Brien put a shift in too.
Hope we see a few of the others who enjoyed the halftime dance entertainment play on Wednesday.

Well I did, it was excellent. Impartial, covered all the players, and particularly impressed that you picked up the names of the youngsters when they were thrown in for the last 15-20 min. Please take over from the two Sky commentators for the coming season.

I thought for a moment that we'd resorted to some of their more dubious tactics, third man in going to collapse the knees etc.

And rightly so Walter. Ashamedly, I've only really taken a bit of notice of our junior players in the last couple of years, prompted by this forum and in particular you and Mr W Offload.

From what I've seen and despite Sally's comment on another thread, we look like we have some more than decent prospects. yesterday, the younger lads in the forwards didn't get bullied, no one looked out of place/depth and with any preseason friendly there are interchanges galore and it didn't affect style and rythym of our play. I thought that Jordan Burke had a good game caught one or two tricky high balls and linked in with the line well.

I think you'll find that it was the idiot England causing the problems mate. He's going to get smashed to bits using those tactics in SL. Nothing but a school playground bully.
