I have a feeling we'll see Cooper again in the future...but still deserves a good send off.

It will be sad to see them go. Moz has been an important signing as any we've had at the club. Big Gaz complimented Moz and will be missed massively. As for Brett, if the whispers are true he has also been amazing and has to be one of the best full backs in the SL.

Couldn't agree more. Morley more than most changed the attitude and culture of this club, and turned the corner from being nearly men to true contenders/winners!

These guys have made a mammoth contribution to this club. Not just the trophy cabinet, but the future of the club and the people within it.

Sing the house down, chant their names and show your appreciation for Mr Morley, Garreth and Brett.

watching one of the NRL play off games last week, Gordon Tallis made a comment about a player who took his eye off the ball to look at an on rushing defender.
He said you just cant do that.. I never did that no player ever made me look out of the corner of my eye...well except for Adrian Morley....

thats what your talking about..he may be almost ten years older than those days Tallis is talking about but you bet big Eorl will have an eye on moz next week.... he still has that aura about him even though the legs are going....

I still think Davies signing was the biggest signing...maybe I was younger and just got excited about that a bit more ... But Morley is right up there.

Me too. That's 3 big losses for our pack in Morley, Carvell and Cooper.

Was'nt too sure on the Carvel signing when it first got announced, but he's proved me wrong big time will be a massive loss for us next year, and still not sure why we have let him go

The single most important event was Mr Moran taking control

JD and Morley both turned into wonderful signings. JD taking a work shy group into title contenders and Morley being part of the changing of the persona of the club. Morley has paved the way for some of the signings and will leave behind a club in great shape and one that can attract big names. TS has also played a huge part in that and will continue to do so.

All we need now is that next stella signing, hopefully he is a prop

I think Morley changed the whole attitude about what the club is and would be in the future.

On Hodgson, I would expect an announcement before Thursday's game IF he is leaving.

I'd add Johns to the list simply because in the short time he was here, he did for the backs (especially Briers) what Morley did for the forwards. ie - he showed players who were already good, but had the potential to be top class, what was needed to make that last step up.

Morley came in and set a higher benchmark for others in the team to aim for .... and for that we are eternally grateful.

And now McCarthy and Williams are off. I won't shed a tear for Williams, though I think he was a better club player than some on here gave him credit for, but I'm sad to see Tyke go. He'd put in some great showings for us and looked to be developing into a really strong player. I really hope there's someone coming through to bulk out our pack!

Up until he arrived, Briers believed it when the Guardian told him he was world class.... and he wasn't. If he hadn't seen first hand what was needed to make the step up, both in play and attitude, we'd still be watching the 'one man at a time' rugby that had us struggling to make the playoffs.

How are ticket sales going? we need a big, noisy crowd for this one!

You do remember that Andrew Johns played for us at the back end of 2005, and Lee Briers had three and a half more inconsistent seasons after that don't you? Do you also remember that those inconsistent years saw two coaches sacked and no trophies won? How about the fact that Briers was then being strongly linked with a move to Barrow because he was seen by many as a symbol of the "old" Warrington that Tony Smith would be changing?

Briers has done magnificently since then, but it was Tony Smith that changed his career, not Andrew Johns.

Seeing Johns play for us was a great experience but ultimately a very short lived one. To put him up there with the like of Morley, Davies, and Briers himself in Warrington history is absolutely absurd. There is no comparison. As for Morley, he was without a doubt our best and most important signing in modern times. A quick Google image search should help you find pictures of him lifting four trophies as our captain, and that says it all for me. Fingers crossed the fifth - and best of the lot - is still to come.

nah, i'd disagree with that, i was in two minds over your original post but i'd definitely disagree with what your saying.

Briers step up in attitude was down to the arrival of Smith, personally, i wouldn't say there was a big step up in performance or professionalism post joey 06-start of 09.

Perhaps subsequent coaching sessions have helped, but not from his arrival and short time in the team.

i take the point you're making but i disagree.
