An incredibly nostalgic piece of video from 1980 can be found on YouTube.
Not sure about the policy these days for posting direct links, but search for Bren23 on YouTube (no, it isn't me) and he has some cracking stuff on there.

The three and a half minutes of footage includes:
the legendary Tommy Martyn try direct from the kick-off,
John Bevan storming in and giving his salute,
Rick Thackray steaming in,
Steve Hesford knocking a conversion over from the touchline.

There's also the match from 1986 where Warrington put 50 on Leeds at Headingley.

Those of you of a certain vintage will be transported back to a wonderful, but all too short, period of a great Warrington team. I don't think a seven minute highlights tape could provide any more fantastic memories.

I remember the day of that Leeds pummeling. The BBC Radio Leeds commentator called it "the greatest British sporting side performance I've ever seen".
I need a lay-down in a darkened room after watching the Andy Gregory/Mark Roberts combination after all these years. I shudder to think what a 100% fit Mark Roberts would do in today's game, with modern training/diet/opposition knowhow, etc, a million times better than mid 80's knowledge. THAT GUY WAS CLASS.

wow just watched the Warrington v's Wigan (world War 3) Match!!

Can you imagine the panic on the officials faces if todays game went that off scale.

I am amazed how many clean breaks Les Boyd managed to get himself into remember him being more of a wrecking ball type player.

Brilliant play by both teams in between the 'I think im gonna hit you for the hell of it' rugby.

Boyd was a Superb player and that often gets missed because of his reputation. People compare Morley to Boyd But while Morley is equally as tough Boyd could do the hit and turn offloads, the evasive running and putting people through gaps much better than Moz

however that said Boyd was a real enforcer. if you watch the kick off Johno takes the first Drive up and shelford third man in tries a swinging punch over the top of Johno's head but it misses. Shelford is again third man in on Jacko and while he stands there Boyd gives him a little crack across the jaw, just to warn him... thats after 14 seconds.

I have watched the brawl a million times but I still dont know what Shelford gets sinbinned for!! Shaun Edwards of all people starts it, he goes in late on Ropati and Ropati pushes him around hes obviously got his dander up from that and when Boyd and Gregory start pushing a shoving in a half tackle - because a penalty is given for ofside - Edwards steams in to the back of Boyd so Boyd just hits the first man in front of him wich happens to be Gregory, Shelford hesitates to get involved and when he does he simply gets in between Boyd and Gregory only for Tony humphries to pull him out and head butt him.....

Ah Rick Thackeray and Tony Humphries. Two of my team mates at Warrington Colts RU back in the day.

I think Ricks first game was against Widnes at home.

I was at that Leeds game...a fine performance indeed...and Gregory putting Mark through the gaps....power, pace, skill....unstoppable!

Thanks for that. It's fair to say that Wigan were at a low ebb in 1980, interesting that although I remember it being an embarrassing thrashing in those days the scoreboard didn't tick over like it does today (notwithstanding the 3 point tries back then).
