Wolves season ticket holders gain free entry on production of their book. Paid entry at £3 adult and £1 junior.
This is the last scheduled Academy match to be played at Wilderspool this season so make sure you get down and support the Wolves youngsters in this academy derby. Let's create a winning atmosphere for the young Wolves.

Well I am always interested to hear the result, but have been abroad with intermittent internet access. TBF, I would have been surprised if they beat Wigan as they have a strong side this year. Hopefully some of of them had a strong game and continue to progress ? |

Johnson's try in the first half set up by Rowland was brilliant, there was no shortage of effort for 80 minutes, I think Wigan were just that bit stronger and a few soft tries made the comeback too difficult.

That is the pleasing thing from our point of view; the lads have always kept going right until the end in all of the games apart from the Bradford game at home which was vey disappointing. A lot of the lads are in their first year at this level so will learn greatly from games like Saturday. |

Wasn't there a plan for the Academy to be at Orford Park at one stage?
Looking at the condition of the pitch at The HJ now it could certainly take more games of rugby league.
Unfortunately it is about time for Wilderspool to go to allow a new development.

I was always lead to believe that Wilderspool stayed open because there was nobody willing to develop that area. It will be sad to finally see the back of the old girl. Many happy seasons there.....and many many frustrating one. |
