WOW... what a day saturday was. everything went right for the wire and they were unstoppable both on the pitch and in the stands. what a game ratchford had! especially a week after looking lost in the full back position against hull.
Even during the hull derby i couldnt hear a single hull fc/kr chant because the wire were bouncing all the way through it, out singing every other club that was there... i hope the people who were singing & clapping for 45 minutes straight with the new 'joel joel joel & michael michael michael monaghan' chant bring it back to the hj with them because that was awesome. I know it's a good unique chant because just one day after warrington sang it, wigan and leeds are already trying to copy their own versions of it.....
I hope the passion that all those wire fans shown during the magic weekend comes back to the hj because after salford and london, we have got quite a few big games coming up where we will certainly need the hj buzzing to get behind the lads....
anyone who has no clue what the michael & joel song is. i found one on youtube for you!

| Just as a point of order I wouldn't say unique, a couple of clubs sing it and it was sung at the Craven Park test match last autumn. Agree though it was good fun.

yeh fair play sorry, agreed its not really unique as i think its come from the city fans with yaya an kolo toure, but i will personally hate it if wigans version of the 2 tomkins is louder than ours when they come to the hj in 3 weeks!!!!

| Maybe not unique Ganson But have you ever heard it sung on that scale at a rugby league match before? I don't think anyone has. It was awesome an everyone wanted to do it.
Doesn't matter if other teams do it... As long as we do it better. Well done to everyone who made a neutral away day feel like a home game
Joel, Joel. Joel, Joel, Joel, Joel. Joel, Joel, Joel, Joel. Joel, Joel, Joel, Joel Monaghan!

| I shook the drummers hands at the end of the game, i'm neither pro or anti drummer, my feeling is we are capable with or without BUT Saturday the lads doing it none stop and must have been knackered at the end, to put that kind of effort in for the love of your team needed applauding, the lads get knocked a lot on here and don't deserve it, it's their way of doing things and you can't say anything bad about Saturday's very carnival like atmosphere.
If we could just get 10k fans at home joining in, how would the players react to it, surely it's worth a go.

| Couldn't get to the game but was really proud watching it on telly, proud to be a Wire fan with the singing.
Love the Monaghan song, was the highlight of the day apart from the result.

| I dare the dancers, drummers and singers to stand on the half way line and try and create an atmosphere in the south stand.
You will be told to move or leave the ground by the secret police above your head.

| It was great to see the banners tied up all around us and the big flags being flown in the stands at the Etihad..I wish they would see sense at the HJ and allow banners and flags back on the terraces..!

| I liked the 'Briers 6 Magic' two pole banner and the yellow and blue striped flag that was being waved during the match.
Proper Warrington flags in Warrington colours.
I hate every single flag I've ever seen that tramp who wears a yellow and blue adidas tracky jacket from about 1997 put up at various grounds.
Keep up the good work new breed!

| we're allowed flags in the hj, one of the lads rung up and asked the stadium manager and he said it can be done aslong as the flags sit below any sponsors on the back wall and above the fans. so hopefully in a few weeks we may well see the hj coming to life! oh yeah the flags need to be fire certified before they are allowed up

| Well the flags might not technically have been "primrose", but whatever shade they were was close enough so yes, yellow!

| Really hope you can get it going, but ive noticed the only times atmosphere is good is at away games, any ideas why this is,well my theory is that there are to many people to busy textin facebook etc to be bothered about what goes on,and with away games its the fans that are more interested in WIRE as a whole?????
PS magic weekend was brilliant and shows what can be.

| I think that too is the reason. No stupid kiddie girls who only go because the lads they like go.
I think it's also the psychological aspect of wanting to go into another teams back yard and show em up. Or maybe because there's more people in a smaller space? Or maybe because people travel down on coaches together, having a drink, having the banter and taking that giddy atmosphere into the ground.
Either way we'll still be stood in that sport singing and having a good time. Home and Away.

If we want to see Wire maybe we should all start singing

Fair enough!
Although I would, as a club like to see us 'stabalise' the primrose element as it is an important part of our identity, if not our kit as it's been messed about with over the years. Leeds are 'guilty' of the same sort of thing.
May be it's a cost thing standard yellow might be easier or cheaper to replicate. Everyone else might not be that bothered as long as the overall style of shirt is decent? Wigan playing in red and white Bradford in red orange and black? We should look after the primrose a bit more and i understand that thee are plenty of versions of that depending upon where you look
Sorry about the derail good luck to the folk on the 20

I would also suggest checking whether its possible to put them up before the day of the game (or at least a few hours before kickoff) like they do at the Etihad for City games. Dont think anybody will be allowed to "climb" to put flags up once the public are in.

We're going to meet the stadium manager and take some measurements for some new flags. I think the plan is to either have them up permanently or put them up the day before the match because we will need a ladder to get them up.
