He has a history of poor decisions at Magic Weekend. Bradford v Leeds in Cardiff as well as last years Hull derby.

Apparently the RFL have apologised to Hull KR and so has Ganson.

For once the egotistical tit had no place to hide, and no one to shield him from the fact that he made the mother of all F*ck-ups!!! This was one definitely for Harry Hill's best bloomers.

He can apologise all he likes, but it doesn't help that HKR were probably robbed of 2 points by his 2 awful decisions to award tries to FC. In view of his previous mistakes, he is hardly the best advert for his new job, or those who appointed him. RESIGN.

It wasn't referred to the video ref but Pelatua seemed to be well in front of the kicker for his try.

Ganson should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute and be in serious hot water over this. You can half justify his decision in the Leeds/Bradford game the other year by saying he simply made the call he believed was correct. If it was he would have got credit for going with the courage of his conviction rather than referring it. I'm not saying that makes it okay, don't get me wrong, but it's slightly easier to understand than this one.

To make such a bad decision as the video ref is simply unforgiveable though. The third biggest event on the sport's domestic calendar (and the main broadcasters try and make it out to be the second biggest) should not be clouded by something so unfathomable. I understand occassionally it being difficult to be 100% certain even with the video, which is what "benefit of the doubt" is for, resulting in the try being given. There was no doubt there though unless you simply don't know the rules of the game. Inexcusable.

The decision to allow Yeamans try was also rather err generous.

In fact, decisions by the video ref, which should be as cut-and-dried as is absolutely possible, are increasingly becoming something of a mystery. The decisions are being over analysed, interpretations of the rules being applied inconsistently and too literally and they are spending ages checking some aspects of play but are totally unable to rule on others.

Surely the ref in charge of the game would have seen the offside on the big screen whilst the video ref deliberated? If he still didn't spot it then he's as incompetent as Ganson, if he did but at that point can't communicate with the video ref to draw his attention to it then it's an anomaly that needs correcting.
