Hardly a wholloping in relation to Saints v Wire games is it? They get up for us as we are a big game for them at the moment, they are trophyless since 2008 and haven't won a single trophy since they had Long, Sculthorpe and Cunningham in the squad. They pull out the odd performance a season, bit similar to us pre-tony smith. They rely on three huge hole punchers in Soliola, Puletua and Manu, zero threat at the half-back position. They may well beat us this week, not a threat for a trophy though. Only us, wigan and Leeds have a chance at a trophy this year. It is now a big three.

There have been only 7 teams since SL began who have won a trophy, four of those teams will definitely not win a trophy this year. Hull, Saints, Sheffield and Bradford. Since 2008 only 3 teams have won a trophy, that's a span of 5 years. I will take us, Wigan and Leeds and you take the field. Deal?

We all know that Saints will be in the playoff's and contending the honours at the end of the season like always, as the other teams are not good enough to take there place., Hull Huddersfield, Catalan etc..

They may contend, but they won't win anything, like I said before, They haven't won a trophy since Long, Sculthorpe and Cunningham were in their ranks.

I agree they wont win it but they could an upset along the way and the problem is they perform better away from home it seems. And due to the fact they are more than likely to finish 5th down, any game they play against the top four would be away from home.

Anybody who counts Stains out of any trophy, seriously needs to have a lie-down in a darkened room.

I'm not confident at all now, for Saturday. That was a SUPERB comeback from Stains. I think I'll need to stock up on the immodium and quilted bog-roll for Saturday night's match.

I am never confident when we play Sintellins. And quite rightly so.

Never right stains off at all. They've been shot with injuries all season but when you look at it the games they've lost this season it just shows that they've got some very good youngsters coming up. Having no half backs for the past dozen games, haven't had Roby at 9 since the early rounds and missing big forwards. Having no players like that but getting beat at London and Widnes only by small margins is still a great effort. Just think the young lads that have come in you probably never heard of but they have done a fantastic effort still. Now there getting players back I really do fear for us on Saturday. Like all my predictions they've turned out wrong in the past expecting us to win at Wigan Widnes and home to Hull FC, I can't see nothing but a saints win.

I'd be bricking it for this game if that comeback hadn't happened. It was a great comeback and one that should give us a lot of confidence; something we have really lacked, but I don't think Leeds were that great and Hardaker basically gave us the win singlehandedly. That's irrelevant though, can only play the team in front of you blah blah blah.

It makes me laugh when I come on here before a Saints v Warrington game to see such a spectrum of opinion. There are those who bang on about being trophy less for x number of years and you get those that seem to have been effected by all those last min wins



I think you'll have a point to prove after our win at your place earlier in the season and I'm not confident that we'll get a win. If we had Lomax back too I would be confident, but we won't so I'm not!

Whatever the result it should be a great game at a great event! I'm just glad we don't have Wigan again
