| With the imminent return of Morely, it looks as though Riley will be returning to Swinton very soon. Last year he played a complete season for them which looks to have hardened him up from his U20's days. What do people think of his performances over his 5 games for the first team ? He is a big strong lad, and props take a long time to mature, but do we think he will make it as a regular next season ?

| I Like him.
He runs hard, hits hard & gets involved. I think he will have benefitted massively form the games in the 1st team and would like to have him in the squad every week but the Swinton games have done him good.
Onwards on upwards for me.

| I think every forward should have tattoos and a hair do that says both 'i don't conform to society's expectations of me' & 'look me in the eye and i'll rip your lungs out through your neck'

| Think he has done well very impressed with him reminds me a lot of Chris Hill, should have a big future with us. Think he needs to be handled very carefully though, look to be full squad member for next season. Very easy to get a young prop injured if you push them to much

| You can still see he is a young player when he is involved in the collision with a more seasoned forward so he still needs time to develop.

| Watching Fridays game saddened me as our forwards appeared again to lack that bite they once had. We have over recent years been used to big rough and tough grunt in the front row. I don't see that at present. The guys are struggling to make ground some weeks. Being immense one week and flat the next is just not cutting it. Glenn Riley will be a huge success with us if the Aussie dollar doesn't get him first!

I think Friday highlighted how fine a line it is, when frontiong up to a big pack. That extra bit of size the likes of Harrison and Morley have, may have helped us in the least fifteen minutes when it was a real 'down the middle' game.
I guess we will never know.
PS
I like Riley, he has come on a fair bit in the last twelve months. He has added a bit of speed/footwork to his game, as opposed to relying solely on his size.

| Needs to work on finding the ground in the right way. His posture into collision is a bit upright, could use his size and momentum more. But generally speaking he is a good talent, got the size and is quite mobile. He will learn the rest with experience.
He can learn a lot from the 'black boots' style of Chris Hill, big engine, lots of hard yakka and a zero in the passes collumn. Try and stay away from this modern idea of passing the ball, if you can't do it, don't try it.

Not can't, doesn't. Especially when we are not rolling forward

| Hill definitely can pass due to the positions he previously played, but he's going for the metres more instead these days (top metre maker at the club).
Glenn was on our quiz table along with Paul Wood, he seems like a good likeable bloke. mark_m did call him Danny (Bridge) a few times though. Glad to see another Squadbuilder sponsored player come through. He only turns 21 in September so plenty of time on his side.

Again, I'm not saying he can't. He is doing the tough stuff that we need to be able to play the expansive stuff on the back of. He and Morley are of the same ilk, lots of hard work and uncompromising collisions for the team to benefit from.

| Looks to me the makings of a real enforcer in the middle, a couple more years and he will be breaking a few bones in the impact.

He looks to me the real deal now. Good feet and agile for his size. Just got to try and keep the Aussies away from him!

| I agree Barbed, i wouldnt send him out to Swinton, he can do a great job on the bench as its unlikely we will have all forwards fit at once and not needing a a rest as the season continues. Only play him at Swinton Woles if all other players are fit.
