That seems a little strange to me,( but what do I know). They are top 4 this year and I would argue that Dwyer will strengthen them. He is a lively player, makes good breaks, gets the team moving forward. He is dangerous close to the opposition line. No wonder Anderson has "thanked TS and the club for letting us bring him in". Surely we could have played him at Keighley and given him game time with us ?

Can he play half back ? seems a bit of a strange one as we dont seem to have any problems at Hooker, unless PA is planning on shifting one of our hookers to half back.

I don't think so. He was clearly playing a high standard of rugby in the Championship, so it was logical to move him on to a bigger challenge; SL. But we have two ageing hookers and I would imagine both are likely to retire over the next two years, so we need two replacements. If we let Dwyer go, it wouldn't be until he has reached his potential, and he is not there yet.

Not often you see a club in fourth place loan a player to the club at the top of the ladder! Good luck to Brad.

We play Hudds on 5th May so will be miffed if he plays against us.

According to Chris Taylor of the Guardian he won't be available to play against us. He is cup tied having played for Swinton the other day leaving him with just two potential games over the next month.

I really don't get this. Monaghan is currently about as mobile as the tin man in the county of the land of oz, Higham was excellent against Leeds but is more miss than hit, and we let Dwyer go to one of the form teams of the comp.

I'm sure there's a very good reason, but I'm struggling to spot it.

I am also seriously confused. After a cup of tea and two Werther's Originals I have come up with two possibilities. Either Hudds are going to 'render us a service', or we can not play him because of the salary cap.

Perhaps TS wants him to have some SL experience before a recall to quicker than anticipated First team opportunities here due to the form/fitness of our current '9's?

I know you are toying with me, which is a shocking way to treat old age pensioners, but there seems to be more in this than first meets the eye. Dwyer could easily have played in the Bronco's game at home and the Keighley match in two weeks. And playing for Hudds means he will definitely miss the game against Wire. So how much extra SL game time does that afford him in those 4 weeks ? In fact, it deprives Monas or Higham of a rest as well.

The club really doesn't know how to develop pivot positions forr some reason. Expect the 6 and 9 positions to be brought in from elsewhere as they have done with 1, 6, 7 and 9 previously.

There are games Dwyer could have had a run with us instead of being loaned out.

I would agree with that. But with two ageing hookers, both of whom have contracts ending this year, you would have thought there is some urgency in playing Dwyer (in less demanding matches) to bring him on as a possible replacement. Perhaps there is truth in the rumour that we are buying Clarke.

According to the video interview with TS on Warrington Worldwide Brad had a slow start to the season, and the current Higham/Monaghan set up is working well meaning he can't get into the squad as it stands. Make of that what you will!

Yes. Perhaps TS is loathe to bring in a 'new' player because he want's to get consistency from the current team first. ?
