| abit late but how does everyone think wire did without briers? of course we won and it was a good result but does anyone think there could of been more points scored with the likes of briers, morley and westwood on the field? have we got the strength in depth to cope and win big games without these big players?

| Lee Briers is one of a kind in rugby league nowadays. He has a different playing style, almost an old fashioned half back, compared to any others. He's so dangerous in his style that I don't think you can replace someone like him.
Ratchford and Myler have kicked very well; territorially and offensively, respectively. Myler has stepped up with ball in hand too. Ratchford can be a very good 6 but will be a different type of 6 to Briers. But they seem to be partnering up well in the HBs.
We will always miss Benny when he doesn't play. But his suspension gave Currie some game time away at a good team and this sort of experience will do him the world of good for his development. Grix really stepped up too, in fact he's had a great start to the season.
I really rate Ben Harrison too. I'm a big fan. And his injury/operation couldn't have come at a worse time for him after he injured his knee early last season and missed a chunk of the season; he's gone and got a double her is early this season.
We could always do with another prop. And it's essential we keep as many players fit for when the Play-offs come but that's a long way off and I think we've got as good a squad as you'll find in SL. Sometimes injuries to top players are brilliant for the development of younger squad players coming in as cover as they wouldn't usually get a game. I'd like to see Currie get even more minutes each week.

This answer reminds me of someone I supervised at work for a short time. He would ask how to do something and when given the right answer he would say, 'That's what I would have said.' We soon twigged to this and he didn't last very long when he had to think for himself.

A bit harsh Teesside IMO on both counts.
As you were supervising someone at work it suggests that you have a bit of experience and they may have been seeking a bit of reassurance/currying favour with their supervisor/ trying to fit in?
Josh is new on here and whilst I don't know him from Adam, his name suggests that he might be a bit younger than one or two old stagers, myself included. He started a thread, agreed with a reply hardly a crime.
We should be encouraging people not putting them off

Nope, there were other problems as well. This was just the straw that broke any number of camel's backs. Point taken though, I was a bit harsh. Apologies Josh, and welcome to the forum.

| We did fine.
I'd say Myler has now got to the level of the transfer fee we paid for him. I've said he needs to take the line on more, he's doing that now, with great regularity.
Ratchford looks accomplished
We know Morley wont last much longer, but Hill already has the look of a "time served" SL prop.
Currie looked as strong as an ox

| I had a feeling that Chris Hill might just suffer a bit of second season syndrome, but he's looking even better than last year. The introduction of Evans and Currie is also a real bonus, Evans will make someone pay very shortly, he's been tightly marked so far, and Ben currie looks immense for a lad of 18.

The first time I saw Hill play, I knew he'd be quality. He'll improve year on year, and, if he stays injury free, he'll still be the cornerstone of the GB/England pack in 10 years time. Hell be as good, if not better than Morley, Peacock and Graham
On the subject of Evans, one team's defence will make a mistake, "and the taps will open". He just needs an extended run in the team, and a "confidence try", to get him up and running (in scoring terms)
