unless he brings bridge back into the squad we need to sign a new centre, im a massive fan of ratchford but he isnt a centre, he needs space to run and create something and he doesnt get it a centre, he's a fullback or halfback...he shown it when he had a 2 on 1 with ryan hall and passed it forward straight into halls chest

One or two centres? At the moment-in my opinion, you've got a full back in one centre and a freak of an athlete, but not a top class centre in the other-problem is, who? Joel Moon? There isn't any available top quality centres in Super League.

atkins is one of the best centres in rugby league end off. want to see rhys evans, hes played centre once last season and tore leeds to bits and hasnt plaayed there again since he gets played on the wing but he isnt a winger, if we dont bring bridge back in the team we need to play rhys evans in the centres

The more i see Aktins running the ball in, the more i think he'll be in the second row in a few years time. HE 'busts' tackles like no other centre i can think of atm.

I think Atkins will move to the pack in years to come but am not too sure where (second row/Loose forward)

We dont seem to use our centres like other teams as a pivot to give the winger space or as a foil to provide deft passes into space but as said earlier more as a battering rams.

If Smith and his coaches can get Bridge back to his best form he'll do us grand and he will be back in the starting 13 I believe. Smith will then need to fit Ratchford in somewhere, he wont be happy sat on the bench and I dont think he will replace hodgson just yet either.

Could Smith bring back the Harris switch from full back to pivot in some matches? May need to to get the best out of his charges?

Agree he's a good centre in a poor competition but if we are talking the RL world he's not "one of the best"

Kallum Watkins is a far superior centre skill wise and he still has a lot of improvement in him.

I don't see why people have a downer on Atkins. His form sometimes dips for a while and there are one or two rough edges about his defence but I think he's a fantastic centre, to have that explosive power is rare, I think he's one of the more exciting players Wire have had in my lifetime of watching.

When we signed him I was a bit unsure as I thought he was a bit overrated at Wakey but I've become a big Atkins fan since he's played for us.

His acceleration is amazing, the second he bursts that first tackle you're thinking, this is going to be a try.
