Hi all,

I'll be making my first visit to the Halliwell Jones on Sunday for Championship Finals Day.

I'm sure you've all got other things on your mind at the minute, but would appreciate any advice on a good pub to visit beforehand? Somewhere within walking distance that does food and will have the football on TV would be ideal.

The Rodney does food and is 1 minute away from the ground. It won't be showing the live games but will have Sky Sports News and will be showing the Jeff Stelling show. That's the only pub that does food within 10 minutes of the ground.

There's a Toby Carvery but that's around 15 minutes walk or so.

It is only a 5 minute walk into Warrington town centre from the stadium with a choice of pubs.

You can alway's get a pie or a bag of crisps at the 3 Pidgeons.

There are two Wetherspoons and The Barley Mow pub that do good food and all within 10 mins or less walk

Braffitos bar in the town centre does food, drink and usually has football/rugby on the TV screens.

Beat me to it!
5 bottled beers for £10, good pizza for a decent price. Plus it's only about a 10 minute walk to the stadium. This is your best bet on a Sunday afternoon.
