What happened in the away stand yesterday? Anyone know?

Occupied by 3,000 vociferous, yet dejected people.

apparently 5 stewards started fighting with 50 wiganers?????

There was a thread about this on the Wigan forum. There were about 12 posts going on about what thugs the stewards are, then one person questioned the conduct of Wigan fans and it was instantly locked.

There was some very drunk young fans in there boys and girls not good to see some of there own fans looked on in disgust.

I didnt see the incident but I wouldnt be surprised if, as usual, the truth is halfway between the two extremes spouted by either set of supporters. Its not like RL fans to exagerate these things is it....

I fixed it. I think.

I wouldn't have thought the stewards would have charged in if they had not been doing anything wrong.

They have n ow joined Hull FC and HKR in the only teams where we we have crowd trouble.

Wigan have been reported to have been doing, in the last week:

Racially abusing Sam Moa
Abusing Jamie Foster (with exceptionally foul language) for a full 80 mins
Use of homophobic language
Fired projectiles onto the pitch
Insulted and used inflammatory language towards an under 20s Warrington player AFTER the match and while he was a with friends and family
and using inflammatory language towards Wolfie (WTF??) around the children who had come to meet him.

plus the expulsion from the ground and fighting int he stands this week.
IT has been a bad week for Ultras PR lmtd.

They definitely had to many wine gums from the sweet before they came over

as i was walking out of the ground yesterday an old lady from wigan started saying.. Warrington fans are the worst in the league, i scoffed at her with a big smile on my face for her only to turn to her friend and say "see what i mean"

It looked like a decent bit of aggro. Watching it from afar I was gutted I was standing on the South East Curva rather than my old West End spec.

There is a suggestion, too, that Riley was being shouted at while he was with his kid after the match, by Wigan Ultras. But it could have been 'banter'- whatever that means these days.

A steward was were asked to go and have a word with a few Wigan fans. One took a swing at the steward.......................................Steward had backup!

They're a lovely bunch. Ultras my ars3.

The Fella who was thrown out by the stewards was not arrested though as he was sat on a barrier in the big pay & display car park next to the Kings Head as i walked past him. Free to go to anymore games and cause trouble again. Surely a night in Runcorn & banned from Super League grounds would be more of a punishment

It was all captured on CCTV and has been sent to GMP for them to follow it up.

Why GMP? Surely it falls under Cheshire Police?
