No but in terms of depth in the squads then yes there is a lot more choices which could make for some interesting selections on gameday the knights squad has plenty of choices in the backs where in the main squad there are only a few names which could play in these postions in terms of picking a matchday 17 it would be harder to pick from the knights squad than the main squad

I'm still a little concerned by Bennie Westwood’s omission from the squad with some of the media (and even McNamara?) saying it is due to injury. We could really do with him against Leeds. He is named in tomorrow’s 19-man squad so it is either nothing to worry about or a bit of a smokescreen!

Surprised at the number of Leeds players (6) in the squad considering their apparent lack of form which has shocked even their own chairman .

No Morley (I'd say for the obvious reason that he doesn't NEED to play. We all know what he's capable of). Similar with Westwood.

I'm quite happy about it. No injuries picked up by a vital pair, in a game that's not exactly vital to their careers. Still, McBanana is a of the highest order. No explanation given as to Morley's omission (for a guy with 50 representative appearances) is crassness beyond extreme.

For that reason, and for the fact that he hasn't been in the greatest of form, I can understand the omission of Morley. Peacock on the other hand...another ageing player in average form - can only have been picked because he's captain.

Tickle shouldn't be in before Westwood. I don't think anybody can honestly say that Morley deserves a place. Chris Hill would be more deserving. Is Grix still irish?

He also has the added advantage of being English whereas Chase is from New Zealand which means he can't play for Eng....oh.

I never understand why rugby league fans get so upset about the England selection. You are basically arguing about who got included out of a few players of around similar ability who are well below the level of the Australians who will be their opposition in the only games that really matter. The players who are actually decent calibre with respect to the Aussies (Burrow, Hock, Hall, O'Loughlin, Roby, Sinfield, Tomkins) are all in.

But of course it gives us a chance to have a go at the international coach like we all did when the 'genius' Tony Smith picked Paul Sykes for the World Cup.
