| Oh the sheer joy of no "Hemmings Hype" yesterday. It was like watching a different game. He does Rugby League no good I'm afraid.

| Couldnt agree more it was much better without Eddie having hysterics and Stevo Ref'ing the game from the Sky box.

| Didnt see the Sky game but the Beeb one was pretty good commentry (Dave Woods) The only problem was two SL sides and a half empty stadium! Maybe Hull v Hudds would of been the better option??

| The beeb was sh*te, Iestyn Harris sounded like he'd just woke up and couldn't be d, it was a game actually made worse by the commentary, Dave Woods is fine he just needs a better wing man.

| What a cracking post !!
I really revelled in the "Hemmings Free" commentary.
It was plain, good rugby league with a commentary team that
knew what was going on and no-one on a personal ego trip.
Same applied to Boots-n-all. What a joy
Could this be the beginning of a changing of the guard by Sky ?
Bring it on !!!
I agree with the comment on BBC though, I thought Harris was poor,
he just has a tired voice with no energy or drive.

| re. Feathestone v Cas ... Hemmings would have called it the "Sporting shock of the Century". Is this the end of Super League? Is Millward under pressure?
Should they really have released Richy Mathers? Actually though he probably would have made made fuss about the Rangi Chase "tackle" ... which ought to bring a ban.

| The problem i had yesterday with the coverage was as far i was aware, the BBC was non HD with the tie of the round, yet sky HD viewing was far superior to the Beebs coverage as for sound it was hard to listen to in the irish club!

You cannot really use that as an argument considering Premier Sports coverage of the Championship is far more superior to BBC's Challenge Cup offering.

I am not using it as an argument, more of an example

Was saying the same thing this morning. When are Sky going to wake up & ditch Stevo & Eddie on commentaries?

| Not very impressed when the BBC pundits were partially drowned out by the Widnes tannoy system.

Terrible challenge with obvious intent. Much worse than Sam Moa's use of the shoulder which saw him sent off. Chase should get 6 games at least imo.

Would you as a season ticket holder fork our further money to watch that lot get dry bum banged on top of the weekly bum bangings they get ?

I would for a supposed local derby in the only competition you have got any chance of winning
I thought it looked appalling and did nothing for the image of the game.....To many neutrals, Widnes and Saints are big names in our sport and to see a crowd as small as that, for a game in the showpiece competition for those said neutrals, does nothing for RL.
Let's face it, if that was London playing in front of that many empty seats, we'd be questioning their right to be in the league.
