It's a band everyone's heard of, not massive anymore but 1000+ odd people watching band, that's pretty scary!
Think I've only been one gig there, stand up numerous times though, bet Ian Brown was a great show!

was a great show prefered with stone roses though ,think biggest applause was taking to stage with his warrington wolves top on lol

seen echo and the bunnymen at the parr hall..really enjoyed it...ive also seen ken dodd and dave s and freddie starr there...ken dodd without a doubt was the funniest went on till the small hours..proper value for money

I saw the original Drifters there back in the 60's.

It was rammed.

Jasper Carrott back in the early 80's, very funny.

Seen loads of bands at the Parr Hall amongst them, from memory, James, Housemartins/Beautiful South(?), Stiff Little Fingers, Artic Monkeys, Diamondhead plus the Tigers of Pan Tang, Fun Lovin Criminals, Ian Brown, etc

Two of my all time favourite concerts have been at the Parr Hall:

1) Three Men and Black - who were Jake Burns, Bruce Foxton, a guy out of The Beat and Pauline Black playing acoustic versions of songs from their combined back catalogue. Amazing set list and the place was that empty they put round tables out for you to sit around rather than rows of seats; and

2) The Good The Bad and The Queen - by far Damon Albarn's greatest ever "side-project" including Paul Simonon with his bass hanging down to his knees. A superb performance to a packed appreciative audience made for a special night.


I won't be going to see Feeder - they're crap.

Prefer older Feeder to new, personally

In the early 1960's a little known local band called The Beatles played here.
