| It's funny how everyone on here keeps coming up with different opinions about who is playing well, who is playing poor; this player, that player, oh he's not pulling his weight.
Now as much as I agree that there are a few players out of form and struggling, everyone seems to be looking for a scapegoat, now the old scapegoat has left, so i'm very intrigued as to who will become Warrington's new scapegoat for when we lose.

| Nobody's looking for a scapegoat, I just think losing forces people to get things off their chests that can sometimes be hidden when your side is winning.
I like Myler, he's a gifted player capable of some things that nobody else on our team is capable of; however, I don't think he's developed too much, his game can still be quite predictable and 'basic', whilst he hasn't grown into the playmaking role that so many had hoped he would, i.e. being a match winner every week like Tomkins for Wigan, or Eastmond at a point for Saints.
The next scapegoat will probably be Higham, considering some started to say they'd rather keep Clarkey than Mick, it wouldn't surprise me if he becomes our new scapegoat.

| We played with stupidity and gifted too many points. We needed to show the aggression that was on show last season we didn't, but Saints did and they won. Last season Leeds were pretty shocking all year but wound it up during August, September and ultimately October. Lets hope we can match that come October

| Aftermath is a strong word. Conversely, if our ball retention does not improve, losses will continue to come.

| "the-way-we-are-presently-playing" arguements aside............
what gives us (the supporters) the right to think / expect that we should we winning week-in, week-out??
It'll all come together (hopefully) and we will be running tries for fun...............

| What happened on friday had been coming and I honestly feel it will be the best thing that could have happened. We've been playing average far too often this season. Even against Hudds and Wigan we weren't great. Saints just didn't let us get away with it. They sensed weakness I'm sure as they were winning the collision by a mile. They were faster, sharper and bigger in defence. It was very impressive but we were poor too.
I think what dissapointed me the most on friday was our below par attitude in the early stages. When Saints took to the field they looked incredibly eager and ready for a fight. And I thought this was the game where we'd seriously put in a complete performance. How wrong I was!
No need for panic yet however.

| I just want to echo the sentiments above, talk about an over-reaction. Its annoying me too how people are comparing current form to last season as if that was some kind of perfect barometer, if memory serves we had some shoddy performances early last year too, the Hull game springs to mind.

| So we lost a few games and some players are under performing.....its no big deal.
These same players played amazing rugby last season, were the best team by some distance and won the league.... and what did it win them? absolutely nothing.
Unfortunately the system allows you to be the champions on the back of a few games at the end of the season....weekly rounds are now nothing more than friendly matches..... So why should these players go all out again? win some... lose some... doesn't really matter...... as long as they can arrive at the back end of the season with some fuel left in the tank.

| as a huddersfield supporter last year we was in the same position as now but playing a hell of a lot better probs best i have seen giants and we came out with nwt as we got some injuries and our form droped down very fast. safe to say both of us aint exactly played that well this season but up at the top.
the thing about super league is its how you finish not as your start so playing bad now and playing ur best come end of the season is what you want if while not playing ur best still winning most games and you will come very good at some point because your team is to good not to

| to be fair i'd be more concerned if my team had played poorly having not won in 5 games and then turned in two massively different performances once the coach was sacked.
i'd be thinkin WTF's gone on there.
i'm happy with our current position

Indeed.
I'd also be concerned if I thought any of the sides in the league were in danger of racing away with it at the moment. The best-looking team current is the Giants, and we beat them.

| we'll be there or there about come the end of the season, people have short memories and can only look back to last year as some kind of gauge as to how we should be playing. lets put things into perspective...if you'd been told 4 years ago that we'd have a 3 year unbeaten run at the pie dome, have 3 trophies under out belt, have a team that on it's day can beat any team in the league & have a team 1 point of the top of the table 1/3 of the way through the season and they would have laughed in your face! lap it up rather than whinge. it's all primrose and blue as far as i can see!

| Clubs don't plan a season to play badly at the start then finish with a flourish. The one thing that dictates form more than anything is injuries. Any one of the teams currently playing well could soon nose-dive down the league if they pick up injuries to key players.
So realy a club's success in a season is largely down to luck. If the Wire have played reasonably well without key personel then don't worry. Remember though, most seasons we won't get a scenario like the Bulls in'05 or Leeds last year. It is nearly always the top two contesting the GF.

You're right mate but I think that kinda scenario will become far more common now, the reason being that we now have 5 - possibly 6 top quality sides who are really closely matched which has never really been a factor before in SL, the top 2 have been pretty much streets ahead in the past.
