Chase was a great distraction in that game, all they wanted to do was smash him and seemed to ignore the other 12 players.

Shouldn't play the sport again IMO. Admitting trying to end someone's career is inexcusable.

When I saw this 'confession', I thought back to Roy Keane and Alfe-Inge Haaland. If Keane had admitted he tried to break his leg when he was still active (not just in his book) then I'd imagine he'd have been banned for alot longer.

Without trying to cast aspertions, didn't we employ a (reformed) "thug" in Les Boyd. Before we "cast the first stone", maybe we should look closer to home.

If Luke wants to admit to this, then he's a prat.
He's gained nothing from this, especially in a game (now) where you don't get away with much.

Also, not that i'm trying to justify it, we don't understand the New Zealand or more to the point the Maori cultures and thought processes, the fact that all the Maori origin players seemed more intent of 2-hatting Chase than playing rugby says they took it personally almost as a slight to their culture and heritage.

I dunno, I haven't read the comments as that evil. I seen it as a sort of 'putting his hand up and accepting he overstepped the mark'. The way the title(s) (beeb) read, it's made out as though he's crowing about it, when it actually seems he's speaking quite shamefully.
