Question;Is A Rugby League Ball Uncatchable?????

no matter who kicks it or boots it or who booms it up in the air when it comes down whether it be straight,or spiraling,or twisting,or even turning is it Uncatchable or is it up to the individual underneath it and how much Heart and if he has the balls to stand there and take it as well as a pounding.??

It's uncatchable if Phil Clarke is making an excuse for someone dropping it.

Sam Tomkins drops it, it's uncatchable. Brett Hodgson, Paul Wellens, Brent Webb, Lee Penny <insert name of full back here> drops it, it's a massive mistake.

Don't get me wrong, Sam Tomkins is a fantastic player but he is still human, despite what Phil Clarke believes, he will make mistakes, and when he does it's not because it was an act of brilliance from the opposition.

More cringeworthy cobblers from Clarke, last night. It's getting to the point where he's saying stuff, JUST to get a reaction from Eddie & Stevo. As I've said before, I like Clarke 95% of the time. He just makes himself look like a complete tool, the other 5%.

Any full-back worth his salt would've taken that bomb with little fuss. Tomkins (unfortunately, on this occasion), made a complete stones of it. Cue a Clarke brainfart.

Is a ball uncatchable (well, as a non player)? I'd say no.

According to Wello on Twitter last night, the spiral bombs are the worst to catch. But since Wello has caught many of them in his time, they are clearly not uncatchable. However, in his pomp Wello was a superb defensive fullback. Tomkins is a superb attacking fullback. What England need is a superb attacking and defensive fullback, and we don't have one yet.

Didn't the legendary conditioner Phil Chadwick once smear a ball with grease before the World Club Championship game against Cronulla, so when Briers kicked off to Andrew Ettingshausen he knocked on, and the ball was quickly removed and a replacement provided. UNCATCHABLE.

It's uncatchable if you've not positioned yourself correctly, he was strecthing out at arms length which suggests he misread the flight.

It's something he hasn't got quite right yet and the Aussies really played on it last night. I think he's had a fine series though, but I would still prefer it if we used him at stand-off.

It was directly in front of me and I think you are right. But that ball out of the heavens and there were two Aussies contesting it. When you compare their kicking game to ours it was miles apart. They were getting 10 free metres without being challenged.

You're right about that. Most of Sinfield's kicks were straight to Boyd, whilst every time Chase kicked it was generally very poor.

i think the chase experiment has failed, i know he's playing out of position, but even so, chase' natural game aint gonna work at this level.

Go on the Cas board and tell them that, they are more defencive than an Italian football team.

i've done that many times, coming back from away games putting bombs up in service station forecourts when the light is going.

to be fair that bomb was huge and in the black sky with lights glaring it can get lost and take a last minute swerve but tomkins did look a bit scared along with briscoe he looked like a lost little boy but there were 12 other people on the pitch that failed to put pressure on the kicker but tomkins bottled it big time

totally uncatchable. Like the one last week at the KC that almost cost us the first try. That was also uncatchable.

Listening to Clarke s like be next to a most irritating fan who talks dribble to whole game.I had to move seats one season because of one bloke near me ,obviously he was'nt Phil Clarke but spoke the same sort of biased nonsense like him
