I love it how Ben cross is preceived as crap due to his time at Leeds where he was treated appallingly. Id hope some of the NRL followers woould offer a more educated view.

I watch a fair bit of NRL, and Ben Cross was never a star over their either. Arguably his best rugby was when he was at Melbourne, but even then wasn't an impact prop, he's just a steady Eddie, always has been.
The telling point is, he has been granted releases from 2 clubs in 8 months... Draw your own conclusion

No one said he was a superstar but to state he is crap is far from the mark. Mcdermott didnt sign him and didnt want him and made it perfectly clear that he wasnt in his plans at Leeds so he was released. It wasnt too long ago he was playing SOO. Hardworking no nonsense prop. I wish he staying at Wigan, and i dare say if the O carroll situation had happened sooner we may well i have tried to keep him.

All this "Oooohhhh, he's got SoO caps, so he MUST be good" doesn't really wash with me.
FFS, Simon Gillies had SoO caps, and he didn't even shine, in what was a poor Warrington side, at the time.
There's been plenty more, who've come to our SL clubs, and 'stole a living' on the back of SoO caps
Basically, Cross' SL 'career' has been 5h1t3...end of. It's a pity some posters don't realise this, simply because of the shirt he's currently wearing.
That Pie thread of a few weeks ago, where 90% of them suddenly changed their opinions of Cross, was pure internet-comedy gold.
