Not being a medical expert I don't have a clue what this means in terms of an injury lay off but Smith seems to think Joel Monaghan has done his medial ligament?

It looks like Ade Gardner has a severely torn or snapped achiles for us too

How long does that normally leave someone sidelined for ?

Done my ligament's a week or so ago and I'm just about back running again.

In other words - there are 3/4 levels of ligament damage, and all determine differing levels of recovery. Strain, Tear, Cruciate etc.

Hopefully just a strain/tear.

Hopefully its not too bad.

That lad in the 2nd Row can take his place.

The depth in the squad is a real bonus this year.

Plus we still have some decent quality out on loan

Its a loss of a good player, but the difference this year is that we have other plyers blooded & ready to step up to fill his position.

Usually 4-6 weeks. Louis should be back next weeks which means Matt King will possibly move back to the wing.

At least we have some good options now when a player is out for several weeks!

Am I right in thinking that if Riley has gone for a month, he has to stay for a month? I'm sure the same thing happened with Rhys Williams at Crusaders.

I don't think he can , but Rhys Evans can be recalled anytime as he is on dual registration.

Like Tee said Louis is back next week and will go straight in too second row with King back on the wing.

Tony Smith did say they think Joel has done his Medial Ligament. Which I think was the same injury as Matt did in the 1st game of the season. So it looks like we have lost him for about 8 - 10 weeks.

i tell you what, i think joel summed up last night the spirit in the team and desire, he was getting treated for his knee being hurt then a loose ball went on the floor backwards and a leeds player was all set to pick it up, rather than leave it and keep getting checked out he dove on top to prevent it being collected, and then went off at the scrum that followed.

He could so easily have left that.

I'm hoping this means that the injury isn't too bad. When King did his knee at Cardiff he went down and stayed down. Hopefully Joel's isn't as bad as that.

Fortunately we've got two 'easier' games coming up in Crusaders and Salford so he wont be missed . If the injury is not too bad hopefully he may be back when Saints come to town.
